#431521 Who To Trust With Your Build

Posted by Hemi31 on 11 July 2015 - 06:14 AM

Some of you crack me up. If you guys had half a clue how much time some of us invest in support after the fact we never see a dime for you'd shit. I haven't actually raced a car in 3 years. Instead I get to spend my track events running around working on everyone elses cars. And most of the people from the shops I work with are doing the same. AJ sits in a trailer all day doing nothinv but tune revisions with 2 lapto I s and 10 Trinity's in front of him at any given moment. Dave Webers guys always have their customers cars with them in the pits as do DTP, Stage 6...etc. Guaranteeing an ET is difficult for reasons outside a shops control.....however if you get a car back you were told will run 8s and it goes 9.50 @151 mph Id start looking in the mirror for the cause.

#457038 American Racing Solutions Tensioner Is The Real Deal!

Posted by Hemi31 on 30 September 2016 - 04:58 PM

So I got with Frank after the introduction thread and told him of our issues with cams that thump. You can see in the video that the tensioner cannot control belt chatter. The PS would get jerky, the tensioner would bounce all over and the belt would get some really bad harmonics.

Frank made an offer we couldn't refuse, pay for a pulley and if it doesn't work send it back for a full refund including shipping. So the tensioner arrived Tuesday. We put it on today and we have a 99% improvement. Still have a little belt squeak but it's not out of control and I think the squeak will go away with a fresh belt. This one has an entire summer on it with the old tensioner and I am sure it's worn pretty good.

As soon as it's downloaded we have video of the tensioner on a dyno pull as well. Even with the old belt we saw full boost with no slip. I would recommend the ARS tensioner to anyone.

#450010 At The Track With Hemituner Performance, What To Expect At Events

Posted by Hemituner on 16 April 2016 - 07:12 PM

With the season opener in the books we are super happy to be in the full swing of racing season. Challengerfest was a blast and with the dual event format we were thrilled to see how many cars showed up and were running on both days. When we get to the track we are Laser focused on the event, our clients and their performance. At every event we attend you will be able to take advantage of track support as part of your E-mail or Dyno tuning investment with us. This service is available first come first serve no matter if its a canned tune you purchased from us to the most outrageous twin turbo build.  If you see us running around don't be intimidated. I have found that being hands on and making notes of how the track, weather, and known combos are looking out there absolutely make the difference in being able to deliver far beyond that ordinary stock timeslip. Our Trailer has an open door policy, please do not be afraid to visit us. Dedication to you our client is in the forefront. We are not on vacation at these events and daily you won't find us trying to whip out your tune in between hiding from the boss at the day job. Logs, build advice, feedback, 13 sec car or 8 sec Jeep, we are here for you and will continue to invest in the growth of the series. Jimmy K, Brian, and myself will always do what we can to keep you rolling and winning.

#436940 Twin Turbo Rebuild Part Something Or Other...

Posted by Hemituner on 30 September 2015 - 09:05 PM

Dayum that looks saweet Brother ! Well you've been here before unfortunately, but it will me ready to kick ass come March bud. With a lil luck my ole Yeller will be ready to run by then. we will have a good time either way Bro. :)

Its a tough job but one I am proud to be responsible for. We had a heck of a wait on some critical parts but there is so much more at stake this time. As we have been following for several years this car like many have evolved, that involves many layers. This time around the failure was pretty spectacular as we all witnessed, and at the end of the day the man driving this rig has a wife, family, responsibilities and its supposed to be fun. Peeing back the layers has been interesting, on by one, Wiring, Mechanics, Suspension ect... many many layers. In the end The engine bay is totally empty, no wiring, fire wall padding, just a shell. It is a longer road than we had hoped but in the end no more excuses for this one, anything less then 110% is a fail! Its a bumpy ride but we are on the road to recovery!

That's ALMOST as bad as buying a 4300 lb car for drag racing.  lol

#459880 E85

Posted by MXS67454 on 04 January 2017 - 10:24 PM

I am planning on doing the same thing with my 16 Scat .  I have a quote from Tim Barth ( of E85 HC tuning fame ) for a 6 PSI  Procharger on E85 with backup 93 tune. according to Tim  ID1000 injectors and boost a pump are the only fuel system mods needed and should be about 600 rwhp on E85. I do not want to do the bottom end which is why I'm staying SO conservative.. of course there are no guarantees .

there are E85 test kits that you use at the pump and also fuel tank systems that monitor alcohol content in your fuel system

When does Edelbrock expect to have these in stores?

Both the RPM heads and the Victor II intake will be available mid to late first quarter 2017. Pricing has not been set, but will be "very competitive". There are several other very cool items that are coming out in the very near future, stay tuned!

#456080 All Of It! Cars Parts And Cars And Parts Of Cars

Posted by Renfrick1 on 09 September 2016 - 01:45 PM

I've had rental property for 23 years. Condos. Why? Because all I'm responsible for is the inside. I've never been screwed. These places are so nice I'd let anyone of you guys live in and be proud. I'm picky on who I rent to. I use the same realtor and pay a month. I have a good relationship with her and she knows what I look for. When I meet with them I make it perfectly clear that there's no bullshit and tell them right up front it will be a quick eviction because my father is a judge and my brother is a lawyer. They don't know my dad is dead and my brothers a dick

1) New VVT Cam core custom ground to our specs

2) Hardened Pushrods .080 wall

3) New HELLCAT Lifter assemblies

4) Cam Phaser Limiter

5) New Valve Springs, retainers, locks, and locaters

6) New Headgaskets, Valve cover gaskets, Front cover Gasket

7) 180 Deg Thermostat

8) New Headbolts, Cam Bolt, Crank bolt

9) Antifreeze, 2 oil changes, and 2 oil filters

Hope this helps

#440482 Happy Thanksgiving To My Mopar Family!

Posted by Hemituner on 25 November 2015 - 08:56 PM

It was only a year ago that a storm was brewing. Thanksgiving was upon us and little did I know in less than 20 days I would be leaving the job that was very fulfilling for the last 5 years and be back on my own. It was on the plane home from the PRI show in Indy that I began laying the foundation for what is now Hemituner Performance. I am happy to say I haven't looked back since. It has been a amazing year for us here. From new friends to incredible projects its been full throttle all the way. We really wanted to thank all of you for supporting us and making it such a success, we couldn't do it without you. On behalf of  Anastacia, Spencer, and myself, we truly wish all of you a very happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Kind Regards!

AJ Berge

#440016 After 3 Years Theres A New N/a Gen3 Record Holder.

Posted by Hemi31 on 19 November 2015 - 07:57 AM

Congrats to Greg Davies for taking the title. In a joint effort with AJ Berge (Hemituner) and myself on Gregs build , with lots of track help from Dave Bradshaw, Greg piloted his all motor Magnum SRT to a 9.49@143.4. Hopefully this record will stand as long as the last one set by Jeff Sherwin and his HHP built Charger SRT at 9.53.
