Dodge Brings Back 'shaker' Hood On Challenger Muscle Car

Top of the airbox seals to the hood, same design as the Mopar intake for the 392 and the Pentastar. Also, note the air channel behind the filter that appears to come from the shaker. This is a functional design.

That would be tough to do Mauls and would require either a taller hood to clear any piping that went under it to the TB, or a redesign of the whole intake ($$$$).  I think the tube right behind the filter to draw air off of will give a decent increase in cool air to the motor especially at speed.  Would be cool if it were direct feed like you're saying though.

I like it and it looks functional to me, the big question is how much?  My guess is more than I want to pay, but at least they are finally bringing one out, a long overdue option in my opinion.

Using  my x-ray vision, I see a tube coming from the shaker to the tear of the airbox, and yes my name is Clark Kent. Most will pay extra for the look. They do look cool!

one of the original car designs had the air forced in stright to the TBback in 05 or 06 when they were teasing me.

I like the wheels on that orange car.  That is all...
