Lot's of A-8 Hell Cats switch from a 262 stock gears to the 309 gears.

John  had his Challenger Hell Cat switched to the 309 gears, then he had HHP switch my Charger to the 309's as a surprise, first Charger to get the 309 gears.

Yeah Poor Josh was worried about not telling me, and that night he said By the way, I had worked on the tune and tonight you might feel a kick in the seat of your pants. lol!  John loved surprises, believe me that night I was really surprised.

The 309 gears really make the launching fun!!!! B)  B)  B)

Linda :)

Funny most Hellcat guys are switching from the 3.70 to the 3.09

Just got back from test driving with new 3.70 gears, wow what a difference! Only took 1 hour and 10 min. to install

Good deal. I wonder why this thread went quiet when the swap actually worked

I didn’t read this whole fiasco but I personally have a 15 5.7 rt plus and broke the differential it was an open “anti slip” 3.08 I personally replaced it with the 3.70 from a hellcat it was a direct swap but I really think the 3.09 lsd is the sweet spot A 3:23 or 3:53 or something would be great but is NOT offered by mopar I’ve seen 3.07 3.08 3.09 lsd and 3.70 and cheapest 3.90

I have the broken differential opened up in my basement stupid pinion gear is/was welded and snapped off so you just swap the whole “pumpkin “ unless u can personally rebuild it with other gearing or find someone that will I tried looking and never found anyone that would rebuild it but I also bought a 3.09 brand new and stopped looking Meanwhile the 3.70 is still in it has a leaky axle seal on passenger side I personally liked the stock more but put a 3.70 to offset the lose of torque from a cam job and first gear is too steep at 4:7 and 3.70 differential it rpms at 2200 @ like 55 -60 mph
