Belt Length

Is it possible to put on two short of belt on a blower car?

I went to a 76 mm dayco idler pulley got rid of the 70 mm factory plastic and that got me a little more tension. I also put in a American racing tensioner and I am thinking I may. May be able to go one size shorter but it will be super super tight if I can

Any thoughts

I would not go to tight on the belt. To tight could break a bearing. Don't know what brand of belt that you are using. Gates has a new belt out just for superchargers. It is called Gates RPM belt. The belt was a texture on it to help with slipping problems. I talked  to Gates about it & they were high on it for SC motors. I bought one when I put my new AR tensioner on. So for I have had good results with the RPM belt & the AR tensioner

Chris, I agree and now due to the fact that you added the 6MM larger diameter pulley I'd suggest going bigger on the belt so what was the size that you were running before you upgraded your pulley and pm me back cause I have a bunch of new and slightly used belts that were only run on the Dyno,Robert
