Great to hear you guys are looking to come, it really is a cool event. They run it very well and I feel we are lucky to get to run heads up classes at such a big event. Its fun to race our cars in front of thousands of spectators, no stage fright ;)

i'm definitely in, my car will be ready this week. tell kenne im not playing this time

Kenne already knows all your doing is playing. You need about a 100 passes to figure out how to drive that car, by then the motor will be beat. Then you can start over. :D

The participants party is awesome, lots of free raffles and free beer :)

Where we stay really doesn't matter beyond that, I'm leaning towards the best western.

Just a heads up, the La Quinta party on Friday afternoon is awesome, we will all be there. The hotel itself isnt that great so a lot of us are going to stay down the road at a Best Western that is way better for trailers and restaurants. Here is what Carfinish/Stell posted up over on LX.

I have the Best Western set up...

Blocked 15 Rooms - 3 Kings, 12 Doubles... 2 are Smoking ..... can get more if needed.

$85 per night... 6/8 to 6/10.... if you want to arrive thursday they will give you same rate, just ask.

Group code: STREET HEMI

Manager was very nice and says hotel is in great shape and recently redone...she actually sounded very excited about it and was very nice. She wanted 89 a night but I got her down to 85. check it out for yourself.

http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/US/MD/La-Plata-hotels/BEST-WESTERN-PLUS-La-Plata-Inn/Hotel-Overview.do?propertyCode=21029

Has big enough parking for trailers

Free Wi-Fi, Full Breakfast, Pool, Microwave, Fridge

according to map it is 15.9 miles from track... others are about 22 miles +-...it's on the same road as others so you would pass it going to track

They will hold the rooms until the week before so we have time to decide as a group.

As far as food there is an Outback Steak House very close and any other restaurants are just a short drive.

SO....if we can get a concensus as to what everyone wants to do... then I'll make yet another reservation...lol

We will be using the MSHS assigned car numbers with a suffix to dictate which classes you will be running during eliminations on Sunday.

All MSHS class eliminations will be run on Sunday. As Dan noted, Satruday will be only the qualifying for MSHS heads-up and True Street class…an NMCA competition that is always a lot of fun.

If someone does not know how True Street works we can explain later.

Racers will only be able to participate in one elimination class on Sunday. You either run one MSHS heads-up class or you run the Diablo Sport Hemi Rumble Index class….you cannot run both. We will be using the Hemi Rumble index class to determine the MSHS Index class points. Last year we had one individual jump into both classes and we know what happens...changes the outcome of the race. Fortunately, he lost in the first round. Be aware of the racers in your class, we want it to be fair to everyone.

Because you will only be allowed to run one class on Sunday, racers will be given bonus points… see below for breakdown.

MSHS Points allocation For NMCA event @ MIR

Run a Heads up class:

2 Points for attendance

1 point for each round win,

1 point for class win

You will get 2 points for attendance towards the MSHS Index class

Run Index Class:

2 points for attendance

1 point for each round win

1 point for class win

You will get 2 points for attendance towards the MSHS Heads Up class you are eligible to run.

A reminder that the Diablo Hemi Rumble Index will be based on ½ second increments… 13.50, 13.0,12.5 etc.
