Need For Speed - 1 Mile And 1/2 Mile Speed List

158 posts in this topic

The speed limiter is goofy. When you think you have it overridden, there's still a second setting that bites you. Bit Sam early on and then it got us as well. On the SRT it's at 180 and it works really well. We ran 179.9 on three consecutive passes before AJ helped us out and got it properly out of the way. You can't turn it off, just have to move it out of the way, like 300mph.

Big shout out to the good friends that come help me out and always have my back:  Doug (aka supersixone)...you're the ultimate crew and friend brother, Kenny (daparrothead) and his family, and my good friend and neighbor Jim and his family.  Very much missed not having Chuck and Lisa there...they are part of this list and then some.  Karl (aka lowwlife) and Burls (aka Burleson)...missed you guys.  Speedy...you need to come back out.  A shout out to my boy Andy at Eastcoast Moparts.

A big thanks to my friend and tuner, A.J. (aka hemituner) for all you do for me and the big girl.  Also, can't say enough about the support over the years from Frank and his team at the Driveshaft Shop.

So very happy for your succes Sam! You and your team have worked long and hard for it. I just knew you would set a new record this past weekend.

So very sorry for sicking the Dodge guys on you. I should have asked you first and actually thought that about 10 Minutes after I hung up from their call. No excuse for me being a dumb ass at 8 am. Really sorry.

We missed you and Chuck, Lisa.

That explains all the cameras...  It's all good, Sweetie.  You know I couldn't be upset with you if I wanted to.  Just wish you two were there to share the experience with.

Big hug.
