The Grand Dame... here is a little about her...
The engine block is a 440 cubic inch 1973<1979 casting. Wes - Co bored the cylinders .040” over, installed two new cylinder sleeves, ground the crank, performed three angle valve job, replace the valve guides, and resurface the heads. TRW forged aluminum pistons were installed. The engine was static balanced. Piston Rods are with in one gram of each other.

The following numbers are located on the block: 359880 440 8 or 369880 440 8. On the passenger side of the block: 10-26-78 or 10-26-76. On the top front: 4 T 440 T, and below those numbers is 11 26.

The heads have the following numbers on the top side, 2843906-5. They are not stage IV heads as I originally thought. Mild porting work has been done to the heads.

Crane Cams recommended a .454” lift with .272 duration cam, (see cam specs.). A Cloyes double roller timing chain turns the cam. The original Vascojet valve springs and Manley stainless valves were retained. The intake manifold is a Offenhauser 360. Atop the manifold is a 750 Holley Vacuum Secondaries.

The spark comes from a Chrysler Electronic Distributor that has been recurved by Auto Tech in Lansing, Michigan. The advance starts at 1,100 rpm and is totally advanced at 2,400 rpm, with 20 degrees of advance. Jacob’s wires and a MSD 6 Box with an Accel big yellow coil is sending the juice.

The drive train is a Chrysler 833 four speed manual hooked to a Dana 60 with 3.54 gear. The transmission is from a Hemi car, it is the 18 spline. The torsion bars rear springs have been replaced once. They were bought from a company in Arkansas. The part number on the torsion bars is 250# and the rear springs is 180#. The car also has front disc brakes.
6/2010. Kiesler 5-speed replaced the A-833.

That is sweet! I had a 70 barracuda with a white ragtop. It was pretty rough, though. It was my 2nd car.
