Programmable PCM/EMS and TCM

does anybody know how well a mopar PCM/EMS is adaptable to our cars, it would be nice to have an unlocked PCM, i could just tap into and change at will, and not have to go through a diablo with. also would probably be using a mopar programable TCM also.

I am curious as well, but that shit would make me nervous.
yeah my be until it was running, it should be far more forgiving than your locked pcm, since it could change its own tune on the fly, more generously then ours can currently, and would give you more heads-up display of more variables more timely than the diablo can.

It will work no.problem. you would need to add a tranny controller if an automatic. You will also lose all electronics in the vehicle.

are you saying i cant just wire a radio to the battery? like setup my own fuse box? im guessing were also talking crusie control, anti-lock braking, and climate control? unless we just ran an ECU for the engine, and left the other electronics in tact, it should keep radio and climate control working, and other cabin functions. i was starting to look at the AEM system, since it looks so all encomapssing. but obviously if your going for a standalone system it should be directed more at a race car, and not a daily driver.

Motec makes a stand alone that controls all factory electronics except tranny. Pcs makes a tranny controller.

so i was checking out Motec....and im not ready to drop $6-8K on an engine computer, although it does look insane, and extremely over priced.
