finsihing up a fuel rail w/crossover and guage upgrade.  Having major difficulty with the supplied fuel inlet banjo fitting on end of rail.  The cars female qd fits over the banjo male counterpart does not click, although it seems tight it has popped off 3 times on me running, uncool  The oem rails male counterpart still works fine, audible click and locked firm on inlets mid standoff shoulder all day long

I have mic'd the banjo lengths and widths, they are the same.  The differences is the oem top of inlet standoff is rounded (possibly allowing slightly further travel into qd, also the oem inlet standoff's mid shoulder is rounded, kind of like a rubber seals profile, not squared off like a washer profile on the banjo.

I am presently trying to make the banjo work by rounding the top with a deburring tool but after two trips out it still doesn't lock up.  Possible rounding off the shoulder so the qd fittings locking ring can roll over easier will work.

would love to know if anybody knows what Im talking about and could shed some light on this f ing hang up to an otherwise cool mod , Is the banjo wrong type? is it normal to custom fit these? I haven't even found banjo fitting for 3/8 efi qd  with -08 oring AN fitting online TIA

I hate that stupid banjo. I prefer running a -6 line out the back of the rail to a russel adapter to the factor hard line.

your right and trying to duplicate every measurement and shape of the oem qd fitting to this banjo is slow work and likely fruitless, cant figure out why.  If I wasn't sunch a hardnose it would have dawned on me why you can fine all kinds of qd fittings but no banjo on line.  Anyway I sure appreciate you pointing me in another direction, that will work fine, I need a 3/8 efi qd and male -8 into the rail.  Looks like a few  to choose from, straights and 90's , the line and fitting from the car will determine  which, it is meant for a top/vertical off rail connect from oem.  As always Eric thanks for the great advice, one more time again.

just an fyi, the hardline from the tank is 5/16" not 3/8. At the rail I use the -8 with o-ring to -6 reducer. Then -6 line to the russel adapter.
