Anyone got good pictures they can post up and dimensions of a 392 fuel pump?

I'm going to look at options to quiet down my fuel system.  I'm thinking if I can swap two 392 pumps for the Walbro GSS342 255 pumps in the hat that'll solve the issue.

It should also take some strain off the passenger side flow valve as well.  400lph should support 800 horses and I'm not that far up there yet.  I figure my motor might be at 680 - 700 and two 210lph (420lph total) 392 pumps should do it and be quiet as well.

My only concern is the diameter of the pumps matching that of the Walbros so they fit the Fore hat, as well as the electrical plugs.

Anyone know if this works?

UPDATE:  3-18-2013

I found new pumps that would work, but they wouldn't fit the Fore hat I had.  So, I bought a new Fore hat with new pumps and they're silent.

I have, the problem is their flow rating.  At 600RWHP I only need about 400lph total fuel volume and even that gives me over head.  The turbine pumps I've seen start at 400lph and with my setup having two pumps.....I think that'd over whelm the little valve in the passenger side tank and cause problems.

Two 392 pumps would be perfect if they'll fit.  I've got a call in to Fore Innovations who built the fuel hat to see what options I have.

www.racetronix.biz.

Found this one....which may work.  340lph at 43psi.

That'd be around 600 I think on mine since it runs at 58psi.

Something to consider, but I need fitment like a Walbro GSS342 pump.

Pull them and enjoy.  Just make sure the fuel is all dry, J.  Those o-rings don't play nice.

Wonder what the big plug is on the front in this pic?  Everything else "looks" like it would fit if the pump outlet is the same size as the Walbro 255s.

Mani's checking another route for me as well, so we'll see.

I've had the unit in and out more than I'd like Sambo.  A little Vaseline goes a long way on o-rings.

I had my test unit and and out plenty, J.  Why are you removing the pumps so much that you use lube on the o-rings?

I messed with it a while back when the fuel level sender was acting weird and ended up being a strained pin on my fuel sender connection.  I changed the way the wires were ran and zip tied and not a problem since.  That was 2 years ago I think.  I always use lube on o-rings, it just makes things happier (uh oh)

Why was yours in and out so much?  The GSS340 pumps that were too long or something else?

Why are we having this conversation again lol

Remember I had one of the first FORE hats.  Needed to get the wiring right, height of the filters, and a few other bits.

We're getting old, J....

We sure are Sam.  Seems like eons ago we did all that stuff lol  A lot has changed for folks working on these cars now.  Parts are a lot better and easier to install.  Pioneers we are lol

Thanks Mani, I'd love to find a solution that's workable.  680lph may still be too much though.  I don't wanna kill that little valve in the passenger side and cause more fun in the fuel tank.  I hate fooling around in there.  Lemme know what you think.

Fore says they have some GTSupercar pumps that "might" work.  They're going to see if they'll fit my current fuel hat.

They claim they are silent.

speedy, i was talkingto my guy, you can use a pump coltroller to limit voltage during idle and cruise, only lets the pumps see full 14 V at certain set point.
