Contacted Steve Mariano of Solo Exhaust last Tuesday. Steve hooked me up with a pair of their new High-Flow Cats. He mentioned that their shop in Mississauga, Ontario had a set in stock! Beauty eh? He offered free installation of the cats as well as welding in a stainless steel bung for my LC-1 on the drivers side cat.

I mentioned that I would do the install myself as the car is up on stands for the winter. When I arrived Wednesday morning, Ray took me on a tour of the manufacturing facility where they make all their own stuff. Very impressive. Lots of room and very well organized with abundant inventory. Very nice set up they have.

The cats look very well made and I installed them that afternoon. They fit like a glove. No modification needed. They fit nice, tight and high. I can't tell you how they sound because the S/C is still off the car. If I have time to install the S/C tomorrow, I will let you how they sound.

they are indeed very nice looking...by comparison my Jegs catback looks cheap and poorly made. doesn't matter as no one can see them. but definitely high quality.

Mani doesn't think they can survive high boost and a free flowing engine as I recall him telling us at his factory that day.

Thanks for the review Steve! Glad we could show you around our facility and that you are happy with the cats. I have them on my supercharged 392 and have had no issues with them not holding up. They are rated at 6.0L of flow PER SIDE. The internals are also specially coated for extra efficient cleaning power and resistance to heat. I hope they bring many years of enjoyment for you and thanks again for your support and stopping by!

The solo guys are some of the coolest guys I've met. I hope some of them make it to cf this year. The problem is that's there busy season and they need coverage for the shop. There all car guys and some hot rides
