Got A New Charger!

Picked up a 2013 Charger SXT for the wife this weekend....metallic granite (grey).  It has the 8-speed transmission and a few other goodies.  I have to say, the new Pentastar is quite impressive.  My wife was sold during the test drive when she nailed it and it literally threw her back in her seat.  She started giggling for 2 or 3 minutes.  We got back to the dealership and she whispered in my ear...."we are buying this fucking car...make it happen!"

 

So I made it happen....

Thanks everyone.  And yeah, I learned a long time ago that if mama ain't happy, no one is happy!  Besides she's good to me.  In fact I have to be careful saying I like stuff or it just magically shows up for me.

Do any of you have the 8-speed transmission as well?  I've only got to drive it a couple of times, but find it kind of weird how it is "spring loaded" to get into the different gears.  Takes some getting used to for sure.  Either that, or I am so damn used to my 6-speed.  Once you are rolling, the 8-speed is silky smooth.

 

And RT6SPD, I have to admit I was a bit surprised with her choice as well.  She was interested in Jap sedans, and after a painful day of looking at those tin boxes, I suggested she take a peek at the Charger.  I was pretty happy to see her respond the way she did.  None of the Jap boxes got her excited like the Charger did.

Did you get Sport Mode? The Pentastar and the 8 speed really come to life in Sport Mode.
