Noobie question....are the crank and rods forged on the 6.1?
2010 B5Blue Spring Special Challenger SRT8 6sp with Hurst short throw shifter. Blue BT interior goodies, SRT door inserts. ACC polished SS engine bay goodies, Blue BT engine dress up kit, C&L CAI, MBRP cool duals catback. SOON: Procharger stage 2 F1-A supercharger, forged pistons/rods, Apache ported heads rebuilt by Andy@PWR, custom cam, ported and powdercoated blue intake, Fore Innovations dual fuel pump, 84mm throttle body ported by Fastman, getrag clutch pack upgrade, G-force axles and driveshaft.

+1 on the 6.1 crank. 6.1 rods are "sinter forged"... a little stronger than a typical powdered metal process.

Soooo it looks like the smartest thing to do would be to purchase the rods along with the piston heads instead of just drop in pistons.
