I'm betting the sender is faulty, and your oil pressure is just fine.

And it only doe it after the motor has warmed up to normal temp. If the motor is cold then it won't do it at all.

And every time it drops the light says to check gauge. Is there am additive I could try to put in there?
You want to put an additive in your gauge?
Check the sender connections, ground, and the connections at the instrument panel. Or, keep on thinking you have an oil pressure problem.

hard to get the full picture on thread, first, if I understand it was hunky before you went to work? then soul search use the keep it simple rule, a few questions from the distance, is there a pool of oil under the pan? is the oil filter leaking? did you use a super light weight oil this time? if you can't find something you did wrong, I'd probably replace the oil sender as said, not much expense there lettuce know what you find

if after checking all this pull the sending unit and hook up a mechanical gauge to check actual pressure. You want to put an additive in your gauge?
Check the sender connections, ground, and the connections at the instrument panel. Or, keep on thinking you have an oil pressure problem.

don't drop the pan, you'll see the filter and connector as said above
surely there aren't two of us on the same planet
, are you sure this all started just by changing the oil? any other symptoms? new to you truck?
did you pressure wash/clean the motor and maybe got some water into a oil sender connector? pull the connector off clean and reseat it, check the dipsticklevel. Realisticly the loss of oil pressure reading under normal circumstance would have to be sender or pump fubar. So if you don't beileve these let it run, listen if it sounds good doesn't start making lifter or bearing noises take it for a short spin mayb some gunk/air fowling the sender. Mine sometimes makes some faint lifter clacking for short duration on first start up but the pressure guage is reading fine, got 90k on her I'm using full synth 10w40 now instaead of the 5w20 and it's helped that proplem Taking it in is the safest for ya.
last time I took mine in for a battery light on the dash it was no nut on the alternater stud? wtf must have been that way for some time, cha-ching $46.00 for them and a large case of the dumbass for me

It doesn't make any noise at all. No it started right before I got the oil changed. Everyone told me that the hemis are bad about loosing oil pressure when the oil needs changed. I was gunna drain everything and pit 10w40 in it because it has 5w20 I it now. I am gunna pull the connector apart as soon as I get home.
pardnah, if this started before the oil change you need to get a bit more proactive, sounds as though something is going out if it's a oil pump it's serious, if it'sa sender not so bad can be replaced easy. Never have heard or experienced any Hemi issues loosing oil pressure for no good reason. If your oil was at the proper level and just needed changing that not cause what you described.....unless it was really some shot oil.
I don't know what miles you have or what part of the country so your call on the weight, mine has high miles and I live way down yonder in the land of cotton, you will be fine with 5w20 if that's what you put in and if you're driving it around and all is well your sender is having issues IMO

add some sugar to your gas tank, it will take all the noise out of your engine

If it was the oil pump would I have to pull the timing cover along with the oil pan?
My motor is not making any noise at all.
