Chapter Presidents.As I have brought on more staff here in the office, we are able to give our individual sites a lot more attention. So some things will be changing.The whole idea of starting DSM, GPMM, MAMM, and JAM is to build clubs that get used. The site IS the defacto gathering place for each club. None of our sites have Facebook pages for that reason. We want the members to come here. This is where all conversations about our passions, meets, pictures, etc. will be held. Not on Facebook, and not anywhere else.We will give each Chapter 1 month from this post date to remove any facebook pages, or we will have to close your chapter here. Directing our members elsewhere is the absolute opposite of what we are trying to do as a club. I sincerely hope that you all understand where I am coming from.Please post your acceptance and understanding (or not) of this in this thread so that I can proceed accordingly.Clay.EDIT. I understand some of you may be using your facebook pages as a recruitment tool. In order to limit the use of facebook, I am willing to start a SINGLE OFFICIAL DSM page in which we can all use for that purpose. But all others must be removed. I would limit the use of the facebook page however, in that it will be accessible, but will not be able to be used for much else, and will instead, direct potential members here.

Folks, DSM has never required dues, or asked for donations other than voluntary site supporter subscriptions in any way. So purchasing your club decals from outside sources is not something we can allow to continue. It is one of the only methods that support this clubs existence.

There is no reason for this to be happening. We do not authorize any third parties to reproduce our IP, and never have.

If there are requests for different designs, then give those to me, and we will get them done. From this point forward, any discussion of this sort will be deleted with a single request to stop. After that, we all know where it's headed.

I was a paid member there for a long time. Other than the Carolinas, there's not much there. I am guessing that whatever they are doing is coming down from the Z where is is hosted and based. 

 

Our group in New Orleans is not very active, and if anyone needs anyone else of we want to get together, we just text.

I used to be Prez of the very first SC Chapter.... when DSM started. Ended up with 70+ members(just locally)...then they started getting bitchy about posting links to anything...as if you were taking revenue from them somehow...then they started banning people for stupid shit like CT does...I finally told them to go fuck themselves...membership has dwindled drastically, and consists more of the "Big Rim" crowd now. The "Z" conglomerate of websites is just as bad as the CT(Autoguide) group is.

yeah, I couldn't post any local shows in our area. and they only had 2 groups in Louisiana, NOLA and Monroe. WTF?

 

DSM is a club of their own, I couldn't even mention Cenla Challenger club there.

As chapter president for the Atlanta chapter of the Deep South Mopar club I will be resigning!! The members in my group have spent a lot of time and energy promoting the DSM. We are about getting together with people that enjoy Mopars and great cars. Not about bullshit politics. So screw him and his narrow minded self.

Is DRP still an admin over there? I haven't been there since I got banned by DRP because I knew Erik. Maybe he can talk some sense into them.

I know the Raleigh, NC chapter formed a new Group called Carolina Mopars on FB...and that they were "formerly" with DSM.
They have a pretty big group too.
