My 6.1L build officially begins today! I'll be sending Mani the moneu for his procharger and injectors today as well as buying an ATI 5% OD dampener, Apache Heads and a cam from Andy at Performance Werks. Still to come: forged connecting rods, pistons, ported and powdercoated intake, Fore Innovations double pump return style fuel hat with GT supercar pumps, fuel rails and crossover kit, modular fuel filter and pressure regulator. And upgrading the clutch packs for now. Maybe a Comp cams Keyway Adjustable Billet Timing Set?

NEED a set of used high pad 17X10, 17X5 drag rims!

One seriously happy puppy here! :-D

Later on I plan on upgrading the axles and drive shaft.

Could it be because your TT build can now proceed? B)  lol

And to clarify, the heads I'm getting from Andy were Mani's as well! Hell, I should have just bought his entire motor!! :D

forging the 6.1L sounds like a good idea, some nice pieces going on and in that motor. curious why not punch it out and get some more breathing capacity while you're at it, big cubes still rules the road. what's the plan?  Good luck with the build, keep updating we eat it up

With a blower the  engine size wont dictate the output power. the forged 6.1 will make the same HP as the 426.

Only the first time out.

It'll seem a little sluggish by next fall and you'll be asking Manny about twin turbos.

lol think it will take him that long to decide they're not fast enough and decide to build a 2500hp pure methanol monster?

I dunno about that.  Mine will scare the hell outta me some times when the back end starts to kick out at 80MPH.  At 30 it's all fun and games, at 80 I pucker up lol
