I need new tires for the wife's 2012 charger rt.  she had Firestone  firehawk gt'v  245/45/r20 m&s tires. need to replace them after 36000 miles . looking for good performance all around driving.... don't need to hook up in this car. Want her to be able to drive safe, rain water on the roads in NC is a summer issue. car has never been in snow,  so that's not an issue.  your recommendations and cost versus quality is appreciated.  thanks, Gregory

 

OH if someone has OEM tires with less than 3,000 miles that need to get them out of the garage., please chime in. gregory

from everything i have read.. conti extreme dws are really really good and are a all season tire.. lots of people like them

Best handling street tire I ever had for dry and wet roads (but not for snow) and also the longest wearing, I got 25k out of my set on a SRT Charger and I didn't baby it.

My car is in the body shop, and one of the tires is getting replaced through insurance.  I already have 4 new Michelin pss ready to go on, so I don't want this new tire.  It's a continental DWS extreme contact 255/45/r20.  If you end up going with the continentals I'll sell it to you for what I end up paying the insurance.  I think it's 20%, so probably 70 bucks.  It won't have more than 100 miles on it when I'm done with it.

i have the conti dws on the wife's 2012 300 ... when i wear my RSA2 tires out i am getting them too

John , that's the wife's' car. and they were rotated every 1'500 miles JK.

I have General Tire Gmax as-03 tires on my 2011 Charger R/T, they have great handling, decent on wet roads, ok in snow and I have to try hard to break the tires loose. How in the hell did you get the firestone firehawk gts to last 36k miles, mine only lasted 25k miles?

Went with Nitto Motivos, saved $275 over the Conti DWS. There is no "spirited driving in the Wife's car" so all should be good.  driven it about 130miles dry and in rain. they seem like a good tire for grandma Diane.

 edit: do they really think we can get 60,000 miles out of them. I hope so but think not.
