are you using aftermarket headers? did you not use factory gaskets when you installed?

I have a LT on it an ran the paper gaskets...finally blew out. Never even payed attention to the factorys I removed, though I do still have em. Will they seal if I reuse?? They r inexpensive new, I understand. I am in a small town and everything has to be ordered. So, if I could run em I would.
Thanks
Thanks

most gaskets are a one time use, the used ones will most likely not seal properly and will leak.

Ya, I can see from pictures that the factory has a squench area and the manifolds have already compressed it completely. I will put an order in then. Thanks guys!

Lance, make sure you thoroughly clean all the old gasket material off the heads before installing gaskets and headers. Good luck.

you did get really lucky finding them in stock, be sure to torque the header bolts to the proper torque spec. i agree with Jay6speedrt with scraping and cleaning off the old gasket material off the headers and do the same on the cylinder heads to insure a proper seal and to prevent leaks.
