There was a big supercharger party and Whipple kept calling...and calling..."we'll be there soon!" Everyone was pumped. But so much time passed that by the time Whipple showed up most of the people had already gone home with Maggie!
So there is little, if any info out there on the new Whipple, especially for the 5.7. Which is a shame, cuz it looks like a nice piece.

What does everyone think about superchargers? I am to say the least, stoked, about researching and trying to choose one for my 2014 Charger Road & Track. I like the efficiency and technology of twin screw. However, it seems that centrifugal superchargers can be more easy on the engine. I would like to hear from all of you.

I've been thinking of supercharging my Charger lately and have been leaning toward the 2.9L Whipple. What are the pros and cons of 2.8LKB's and 2.3L Maggie's vs the 2.9L Whipple? Also any pics will be helpfull.
Pics......what pics?

I have a 2.9 sitting waiting for an 426 from pwr. It has the nicest accessories of any of the kits I've seen. Top quality OEM like parts. I'm really impressed and I can't wait to see what it does.
So far I agree 100% Far superior then any other kit Ive seen.. Yes it not a cheap kit,but once you see it one would understand why, W/ AN fitting's,factory style connectors I know they spent some coin putting this kit together. Right now we are doing a 6.1 kit on a charger And a 2014 Jeep. Will post more info once they are tuned..

He asked for pros and cons and got a bunch of fanboy cheers.
Pros
Whipple, KB - Instant power, blower displacement, ability to move up in engine displacement
Maggie, E-Force - Impeccable street manners, plenty of power for street applications up to 650-700hp
Centri - Great manners on the street, slightly lower cost, can scale/modify application to fit almost any application
Cons
Whipple, KB - Light switch effect can be a PITA on the street
Maggie, E-Force - limited displacement, runs out of steam on a stroker
Centri - somewhat cluttered install, some of the smaller kits have had some issued with the I/C plumbing, less boost at low RPMs.
At least that's my take on it. I had a twin screw for three+ years and it was fun, but overall, I have enjoyed driving the car with the E-Force much more for the past year.

No fan boy here. I just have not finished the install to do a true comparison on drivabilty. But def will as we have installed and tuned just about every supercharger on the market. But so far as for fit and finish the Whipple is in the lead by a bunch.

You were the exception. Everyone else just replied "Whipple!" or such without expanding as to why. I've seen the Whipple kit and yes, it's really nice. Of course I though the Edelbrock kit was really well thought out as well.

Real interested on some results. I've seen several installs and dyno sheets but no one have them at the track or posted IAT data or the like. I've heard the 2.9L Whipple runs pretty cool compared to other offerings.

I will def do a write up when finished. Probably no track times but IATS and dyno numbers wont be an issue. Im really curious to see how it does on the 2014 8 seed Jeep we are getting ready to do.
