I had magnaflow hiflow cats, srt headers and SLP loudmouth catback which are essentially straight pipes with small expansion chambers.  Sounded nasty! But ultimately I couldn't take the drone - it was unbearable climbing at freeway speed.  So I swapped for corsa sport.

Here's what that setup sounded like

No way in hell I'd do it. Especially if it's a daily driver.  The loudness gets old in a hurry.

I had the LM1 and for me it wasn't bad. I did have to turn off MDS because of the cruising drone it caused. But other than that I didn't mind the noise level.

I loved my solo x with the j's. They were so bad ass with no drone. Nice deep roar! It saddened me to have to chop them up when I put the 9" rear. Now I have straight pipes with the exhaust bent behind the tires. It's not bad but if I decide to go straight axle and I can fit a regular exhaust back on i will do solos again.

Solo makes a kit to replace the muffler with a straight pipe. And you can swap them out easy

I have a Dynomax kit. no drone to speak of and still has a nice rumble. No way I'd want straight pipes.

you don't need a straight axle if you have a Gforce 9"

Gforce FTW.

I'm thinking about changing the exhaust.  I put on stainless and I'm just sick of the creaking when I get out of the car.  Thinking Magnaflow this time.  I do need to change out the mid pipes too for catless....especially when I get in the 2-step.

The corsa sport is worth the money.
I had magnaflows, slp and it the end pulled the trigger on the corsa and have never looked back.
