509 whp, 507 wtq.  '13 stock 5.7, long tubes, no cats, D1SC 65 lb/hr injectors, API comp fuel pump.  8-9 psi

I'll find out what the 370 with the F1D is as soon as I get the boost where I want it.

loaded question!

Max horsepower will vary from dyno to dyno and I have been amazed as to how much the variation is.

Most of the boosted VVT 5.7's I have done are nearly identical to Tim's setup listed above.

With nearly identical boost, fueling and timing:

On my dyno it will make 490-520

In shops I've remote or onsite tuned the exact same combo

North Carolina  600.

Utah 650.

Alabama 475.

Winnepeg 450.

This is assuming stock internals.

We did have one forum members stock internaled 5.7 here for a tune, we put a smaller pulley on, made 13psi and I believe 586whp.

I should have been more clear..  Built 5.7s. ..   And I realize dynos vary     Ive done so many stock 5.7s I can t even count.. lol

Usually we don't take the stock 5.7s over 8 psi/500 rwhp  Well that is what shows on our dyno  But the same cars will run 11's so I figure its pretty accurate..

Are you talking Procharger, Maggie, or ?? I'm trying to decide if I want to supercharge min or trade up to SRT8. If I can do a supercharger upgrade and keep stock internals and run in the 11s then I will prob just keep my car and go the supercharger route.

Scott, sorry if my response sounded crass and I know you know dyno's vary.

I just want folks who read these posts to realize that as well.  I'm sure you've experienced customers that say - "on the dyno down the road my car made xxxwhp" and you know darn well that it wont make that power on your dyno.

As you stated - what the car runs at the strip (or on the salt or in the mile) is all that really matters.

Sometimes I wish the dyno outputted torque and HP readings in lollipops and unicorns (unicorns being more than lollipops) and it only showed if I was doing better or worse.

The last few forged 5.7 VVT tunes I did in the 14psi range made just shy of 600whp on a nearby Mustang dyno (MD1100DE)

Not to hijack but will the experience be any different running a Vortech as opposed to a procharger?

What about with a 392 VVT cam?

I also have a 392 pump, and and CPR fuel rails to go with.

160rwhp gain on C16?? I need to switch fuels!

My car is 5.7 stroked to 6.0 with a Maggie at 14psi. Pretty much stock cam. It made 581rwhp on the Dyno jet at CF4 and ran a 10.92 at 125 the next day on the track. I've since added a 90mm tb and Mike made a VVT tune tweak to the cam and TTDyno says it's about 625 now. Car ran a 10.92 at 130 and a 10.88 at 128 last time out. There's a little more there if I wind out third a bit more as I short shifted at 6k on both of those runs. I also have a 16psi pulley I've yet to get a solid test on as well and plan to get that done in the spring.

Is anyone making big power with the 5.7vvt?  Was looking at a 370 stroker, but I want to see 850+ to the wheels on the nitrous hit 400 shot.  Im thinking I might need a bigger motor to reach my goal.

A 400 shot ain't nothing to sneeze at... Serious business there. Talk to 1fst4dr and Dan (both of them). Better yet... Start your own thread so you soon muck up this boosted thread.
