I thought they were going to have to dolly me and push me off the track!

Worked fine the rest of the night.  Maybe some debris in the brake fluid?

Hmmm....That's not good. Make you kind of leery of when it will happen again.

I think the solenoid got stuck. I'd get a new one.

So fuckem all bud, you're the man and all that matters is you went home to your family with nothing more then a couple more grey hairs, a thinner wallet, but one bad to the bone story that none of those cowards who talk shit will ever be able to equal.

^^ Yep happened to Greg at CF4 I think it was. I now carry the stock brake line in my trunk. His solenoid went bad.

Sometimes a sticking solenoid merely needs a little clearancing with some emery cloth on the plunger or seat. My trans brake one was sticking and that's all it was. Just a little tight.

A new unit is about $40 and has a mesh screen on the input side to catch junk, so I think I'll just replace it.

Same thing happened to me at CF3. We cracked the brake line to bleed off the pressure & pushed the car backwards to get it off the track. The line lock was new. Been used maybe 8-10 times. It was SLP brand. I called SLP & they told me that they had got some bad solenoids from the vendor that made them. They sent me a new one. I have never had any problems since but I do carry a spare solenoid & brake fluid with me when I go to the track& like Speedy said I also carry the stock  brake line just in case. Not a good feeling when you release the solenoid & the car does not want to move.
