I like Andy. Sorry to hear his business is in trouble. He was perhaps too generous sometimes. 

 

Some will probable lose money and that's unfortunate. Small business can be difficult to manage.

 

It sounds like the bankruptcy  may not have been his decision.

 

Anyhow, Andy is a salesman and salesmen tell you what they think you want to hear. Of that, Andy maybe guilty. 

 

 PWR's Bankruptcy ,I'm sure, is not Andy trying to scam customers.

Legal or not bankruptcy is in fact just that "Scamming Customers"

PWR is a classic example of a company run by a young man that  has some good ideas but has no clue on how to run a business or handle customers, no Andy did not own PWR, Ray does and in that regard he too was a disaster, ill funded and no supervision,no customer respect and to be frank let this get this far, he did the taxes and had access to the banking and it was he that should have straightened this out a long time ago.......... This does not leave Andy off the hook, what he did should be a learning lesson for him, I hope his family survives this because I'm sure it has effected it.........No I don't like Andy or any other person in this small community that screws people.....warning signs should be taken as just that and not covered up by a few so called friends.........

I can't agree with the thought that negative cash flow is normal and using cash from new customers to satisfy others needs is ok.

Yes when I first started out we had negative cash flow but it was flowing from MY personal savings account, not my customers pockets.

That is the cost of STARTING a business. Once established if the cashflow maintains a negative flow one must rethink their business plan. Continuing to take money from others to fund backlogged work is less than admirable and is certainly not a forward thinking business plan.

Did Andy do all of this on purpose or did he just get under water and hope that he could rectify in time? I have no clue but either way it was the wrong thing to do.

Us folks out money from him have every right to expect their money back or their product and I can't imagine how he would not be responsible for paying it back. Banruptcy is for cowards and weasels.

Anyone who takes that route is never welcome in my presence. Man up take 2, 3, 4 jobs if necessary and pay back everyone whether is 100 bucks or 100,000 bucks. My bills get paid the day I get them, I expect nothing less from everyone else.

 

who said negative cash flow in a business is "normal"....... not me.  i said it happens and takes "skill, patience, and a good understanding of your business and forecasts" to get out of.

 

i will say it again, andy made his own bed on this one.  he let the business get away from him and does not have the ability to pull it back in check at this time.  there were/are several contributing factors, all of which he could/should have done a better job at dealing with.  the bottom line is that this mess sucks for those that are caught in it, but this is not something new in this community or within the industry.  continued beating of a dead horse will not make things happen any faster/better imo.

Good luck to all and that goes for Andy as well.  Andy and PWR supported the MSHS series even in its tightest of times.  Looking back it was probably in poor judgement on both of our parts.  I shouldnt have asked knowing things were tight and probably best PWR didnt shell out the cash.

 

Nothing more frustrating than waiting on parts, when I read the stories I just feel for all involved.

If you end up having an issue with your engine, it can be sent to Billy Briggs in Michigan and if its a warranty related issue, I will pay for the repairs.

Ron, Andy has stated that he will take care of what he owe's. I don't know what else people want him to do. He can't re-coup money already spend and under the law he is not obligated to repay any monies. I have a feeling anyone who files with AG will get nothing since he has no obligation to repay under the law. It's not pretty and it sucks but those are the facts.

I seriously doubt any of the business on this forum or any forum members own business's that operate in the black, if so it's few. If you think the money you spend at a business goes directly to your goods purchased your kidding yourself. That is not how business operates. It's all cash flow, money in and money out. When there's more going out than coming in then things get ugly, as you see in this case.

This is about haters hating and sitting on the high perch thinking they are better than Andy. 

How much longer do we need to watch this crap. If your screwed then get over it and move on. If what Andy screwed you out of is breaking the bank then you probably shouldn't be spending your family's money on a dam race car to begin with.

Andy is my friend and that comes before money.

So you cried like a little bitch when someone didn't sell you their 6.1 intake for a couple hundred bucks after you posted first in their thread, I'm assuming because of the principal of it because money doesn't matter to you...  but people who were actually affected, had money taken and were lied to ... it's shipping Friday... are just haters hating... and need to get over it.   Quit being a damn hypocrite.
