When this post got started, someone mentioned that SHR had some pretty badass builds. I asked that someone name just 1 badass SHR build. The only car that was mentioned was the Cult Energy car. I concur that it is a cool ass car, but I happen to know that it was never right and I pointed that out at the time.
Well, I have a little update on that car. It had a SHR transmission, a stock Getrag rearend and street tires. With approximately 1,000 miles on the SHR transmission, the transmission blew on the street with street tires.
Again, someone name just one badass SHR street car.

Got a call from Cult Energy yesterday....asked what the SHR was worth on a trade in on a Paramount Trans.
Sadly, I told him it is worth little more than a core we purchase from Chrysler.
He said fine, build me a trans that will last more than 1,ooo miles.
Sad sad sad.
Seems Cult is the wrong guy to tell basically go ++++ yourself. Customer service after he told me he spent WELL over 100K.
Our philosophy is that in our mechanical world, shit CAN happen. Fix it as quickly as possible. Keep customer happy.

I never have subscribed to the theory that the customer is always right. But, one certainly can't fuck ones customers to death and not stand behind their product when there is clearly an issue with ones product and/or the quality of ones work.

When your Edward p Gregory the third, the whole world is your stepping stone.
He is a stand up guy I bought four transmissions from him at one time 3 were DOA but he said he would give me a discount on the next order
.
It was nothing some Paramount valve bodies couldn't fix though.

The Modern Street HEMI Shootout out is this weekend. Southern HotRod claims to be "Number 1 in Hemi Performance" and they claim to have "The Strongest Nag1 on the Planet." If that is true, surely they will be at the event. Anybody heard what they are bringing. Maybe they will bring the nine second nightmare.
