Thanks to the help of folks on this forum I knew what to watch out for when trying to fit wider wheels on the Challenger. I went with some 305/35R20s on 12x10 wheels and with just a bit of heat gun massaging of the area at about 3 O'clock on the passenger side rear wheel well they fit no problem. Driver side was A OK. My wheels have a +25mm offset and I have an Eibach Pro Kit suspension. All of that matters when pushing the limits of how wide a wheel will fit.

Looks great Jay....but we need some photos from the back.  I have always thought the wheels are too narrow on the Challenger.

Thumbs up. I'm starting to think more about the 305's rather than messing with 315s. Not sure if the difference would be worth the effort.  Either way, rims and wide tires will be my next mod if the transmission lasts through the year.

Looks dam good J, I would keep an eye on those wheel well liners if you start doing much hard cornering. I had a half in clearance on mine with the 295/40/20 but the tire would still rub slightly if I put it into some corners on the spirited side. On a closed course of coarse.

I got a set of 315/40's for the mile on 19x11 rims and we did not manage to get them to fit in time so we will hopefully get it straight before October. The 315/40 R6's are pretty big. The rim cleared everything fine, but the wheel is tight in the front of the well and the fuel fill tube. We are probably going to cut it out a bit. Maybe a "micro tub"

Looks great J! Love the look of the rims! I've got the same tire on mine. Same size rim and offset. No issues with rubbing in the back. Have 245/40/20 Nitto NT555's up front.

I have 315 continental's on a 20x11 CCW wheel with a big fat lip. Don't stick out anymore than this but mine is stock height. What you do is remove the plastic liner, spray some white paint and mount wheel, lower car and tire will scrape where adjustment needs to be made. Then you take an air hammer and go to town on the metal. After you have plenty of clearance you do as above with the heat gun.

I got the proper wheel specs from John at CCW to fit a 305 tire on a 20x11 since he has done it a few times. He said I wouldn't be able to get 315's on there tho, yeah right.

I have pics in my gallery if interested.

By the way nitto tires run smaller than other tires A 315 in a nitto is actually more like a 295 in a continental. I sent those back and went with the redline continental's.

Nice post by the way!
