Since I have been getting a lot of calls on this process I thought I would post it up for reference - straight from HPTuners site. If this has already been posted forgive the duplication:

2015+ Dodge Tuning (Important Information)
Please note the following process that is required to tune your 2015 Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/RAM:

HP Tuners is proud to release to the public a PCM modification service that unlocks the 2015 PCMs for tuning. The cost is $249 and can be purchased through the Order Page at the bottom of the page.

Once ordered, you can send either an original PCM or a spare.

When you send in the PCM, you MUST include the following:
1. Customer Name
2. Customer Address
3. Customer Contact Information (E-mail/Phone)
4. PCM Modification Service Order #
5. MPVI Serial Number (if ordering an MPVI with the service, enter order number)
6. Whether or not the PCM is the original from the car or a blank/un-flashed replacement.
7. Preferred shipping method1

1Shipping included with the modification fee is UPS ground.
Expedited shipping options include:
1. Including a prepaid return shipping label with the PCM (This is the fastest way).
2. Paying for Overnight or 2nd day. Email Sales and Shipping with your address for a quote.

If the information above is not provided with the PCM, it may delay the PCM Modification process while the missing information is acquired.

NOTE: If you are sending us a spare PCM that has not been flashed, ideally, while not vital, it would be helpful to also send a read from the stock PCM. The stock read must be done as a GPEC2A 2015. If you do not have access to read as a GPEC2A 2015, please email support with your MPVI serial number and I will give you access to do so.

After the PCM arrives at HPT, an HP Tuners engineer will modify the PCM and enable your HP Tuners software so that the 2015 can then be read, licensed, edited, and flashed with HP Tuners software! This is a one-time modification that will not affect other operations of the PCM. The factory tools will still work for service. And HP Tuners will then work for tuning!

NOTE: While there is no hardware modification, the back cover of the PCM does need to be removed.

We will modify PCMs as fast as we can, but initially, please leave 1 - 2 business days (plus the time to ship the PCM) per PCM that you send in for the modification process to finish. (i.e. 2 PCMs = 2-4 business days.)

From there, you may tune the PCM with HP Tuners. It will take 2 credits (a new interface comes with 8 credits). The Dodge Pro VCM Suite is $649 and can also be ordered here: Order Page

Interesting way to go about it.  Reminds me of the old "chip" days.

Similar - except this won't get you a tune, only a "stock", modifiable, flash that can be read and tuned with HPTuners.

You have the right idea except there's no board added in the Hellcat PCM.

And Hondata is still the way to go for the new Honda's!

BTW - The $650 MPVI purchase is not required if you have someone who tunes with HPT and has their own MPVI (most tuning shops).

Having a second PCM could have some advantages.

It's cool to hear that Hondata is still alive and well, I've been out of the Honda scene for a very long time.
