I found a company that offers rocker shafts stabilizers and collars for the 5.7,6.1 and the 6.4. Is this needed or are there issues with our valve train? 70

I'm a fan of the tower cross ties. But not a huge fan of the collars. I use the old 5.7 collar locators as they have significantly lower parasitic losses on the rocker.

I have been considering using these on my new build also. I like the ideal of the tower tie bars but not all that sure about how the collars would hold up in regularly driven street use.

Rpm verses ramp rate verses spring pressures. Least that's what I go by.

I always wondered if there would be any issues like that.

Not surprising. Two things to consider. The first one is growth of the sleeve. A assembly of the length can expand .010-.020 when it gets heated up. So too tight on the clearances and it'll die in short order. This was one of the issues with the Harland sharp POS's. The other problems is any burrs on the rocker will chew up the anodizing on the sleeve if the unit wasn't hard anodized properly. It's best to install a hardened thrust washer between the rocker and the sleeve if you have the room.
