You guys remember me mentioning a friend who had ordered several Hellcats and never received them.  Well, now he calls me and says he got some kind of voucher converting his orders to 2016 models as he had paid deposits.  From what he was told, there is going to be several upgrades to the Hellcat for 2016 from interior improvements to fog lights or something a long those lines?

The biggest thing he mentioned was the price increase.  He's being told $71K for 2016.

Is he getting bad info or is that something seen mentioned somewhere?

I think it was mentioned that they were standardizing on the upgraded leather interior on the Hellcat and a few other things. (read it on the LXF)

With the changes, it would make sense that they would raise the price.

$10K price jump seems like a lot year over year, but maybe they'll try it since there was so much demand.

If true, he'll get a deal as his vouchers are for the 2015 price and are locked in according to him.

Aren't they reducing the 100K warranty to a 60K warranty in 2016?

I tried to order one today. Dealer didn't have pricing yet but I was told base price was higher. However, it included some upgrades like the Laguna leather. They wanted a $5k premium so I walked out. Trying another place tomorrow.

i found out today the order banks open on the 17th rob.  i talked to my dealer yesterday and they are going to do msrp for me.  they are just waiting to find out what the actual pricing is going to be before i give them my deposit.  they are telling me i have a high likelihood of being in the first round of allocation....... yippee......  lol

Wow you guys are still in with an over $70k price tag???? At $62k it was a no brainer add $10k to that and not so much.

seriously doubt you will see a 10K increase.  also, 16' models and the price hike will include most all the items i was going to option a 15' out with anyway..... so the actual bottom line price for me will likely not be much different.  15' HC chargers might have based at 64k, but the way i would have wanted it would've seen a 70k price anyway.  even at 70k, there is still nothing like it for under 85-90k.  price a ctsv with comparable optins..... 85k min.  the euro stuff over 100k.  that 70k is looking better and better to someone looking for world class car for under the price of a small home.

Based off demand, and comparable cars, they are worth it.

Be very careful with Fields and "Smitty", he lies thew his teeth.  You are much better off going with Daytona.  We had three guys order from Fields and Smitty told each of them, they where all number 3 on the list.... The only one who actually got his HC, eventually had to work with the GM directly as Smitty over sold their allotment.

One ended up SCing his Hurst SRT, the other got an SRT from Daytona.

When I was looking for a Hellcat I talked with Daytona and they seemed to be an honest dealership although I bought elsewhere. I paid MSRP from Citrus Chrysler in Dade City . I dealt with Mike Krupka

Ehhhhh, I don't think they're worth it for $70K+.  That puts it over the edge in my mind.  I'm not sure what options you could throw at a 2015 to get the price to $70K?  When I optioned one out to include everything but the black hood and laguna leather it was a little under $63K if memory serves.

Hopefully they won't go through with a $10K price hike.  That's nuts year over year.  Saying they're adding technology or whatever is a poor justification.  Look at the new Challengers compared to my model year.  TONS of tech in the new ones over mine and the price is exactly the same as it was in 2009.

You guys keep drinking that Kool-Aid lol

I've never seen a car company attempt to drive down demand for a model. All most unbelievable if accurate.

Great news for 2015 owners on the other hand. They just added $4-$5k to value for them.
