Finally. i have a reason to post on this fucking forum
.
so after the motor crap, i ended up pulling the motor apart and bought a fresh block to start with. just transfered my parts over and assembled it up.
good news is that the car runs, and runs REALLY strong at 13 psi. Feels solid, has no signs of dropping power up top, and will go sideways in just about any gear.
bad news is .... well..... it runs..... i havent driven the car in almost 2 years.... Fuck i cant even remember how to use the trinity. im remembering the little quirks of the car, like the flaking paint on the doors, the crippled hood, the small but annoying oil leak from the moroso oil pan ( its actually from the weld )
Tune wise. Mikes tune is still kicking and this car loves it. 13 psi and AFR is at a steady 11.2. A little rich. but IMO i need this motor to last and a conservative tune is a happy tune
This is the first real long drive since ive installed the Gforce Transmission and the DSS 9". and its my pleasure to say that theyre quiet and vibration free.
The Trans is holding up SO FAR..... i havent really put much in terms of power through it, but this wekend i plan to crack 19 psi and slicks at the track.... thatll be fun.
only thing that concerns me is the Rear wilwood brakes and the oil scavenge pump.
the Brakes that came with he kit are glazed already after a few good pulls and emergency braking. Anyone have any better suggestions for pads for he wilwood 15" kit?
the pump, even though is flawless so far, still is in the back of my head.... ive never really liked hot oil and electrical motors in one sentence..... so this one ill watch.
other than that, im happier than a pig in shit.
it passed the rain test with flying colors... and sideways views.
exhaust.
3" stainless mandrel bent from front to back, other than the outlaw mufflers.
while i was rebuilding it
