The basic idea is to prevent this:

And to reduce slippage...
yea cause you don't want belt slip when its on the 2 step...hehe
Honestly I would see a good shock doing more than the hard mount. You still need to allow for the belt lengthening and shortening due to the loading. That hard mount is going to break some shit. Control the spring tensioned damper and you'll be good.

Put it on a KB 3.6 or 4.2, if it works on them it will work on anything,

Put it on a KB 3.6 or 4.2, if it works on them it will work on anything,

Aint that the truth Tout
Put it on a KB 3.6 or 4.2, if it works on them it will work on anything,
you had to go and fuck it up, didn't you

Explain the logic here.... Locking the tensioner??? Why bother with the "tensioner" at all? Why not just use a pulley there instead. You're going to have belt slap all over the place. You're praying it stays in place??
Again... please explain how this works without snapping the belt?

I believe the ideal behind the design is so you can adjust the tension on the belt. No different than ole school V belt systems, most had only manual adjustments.

Working that right now. ;-)
