The rubber buttons on one of my Ram's fobs have pretty much fallen more apart making it unusable. I see lots of replacement shells online that you can supposedly put the PCB in without reprogramming, but the reviews seem all over the map. Anyone had any success with any of them?

Chuck save yourself the hassle and just buy a new key. I bought an outer shell for my old ram , it literally fell apart with a few weeks.

Sometimes you can get lucky and find oem shells on ebay. But the knockoffs are pretty crap imo

I ordered one for about $10. I'm hoping I can at least get the pads off the buttons and glue them on my old one. kinda hard to believe how bad the ones on my original were.

Chuck do you have remote start? If not I have 2 almost brand new keys from my 2010 Ram. When I added remote start they gave me new keys, these have been sitting on my desk ever since.

I've got remote start. I'll try the replacement, if it doesn't work I'll just get a new one. I've been using the second one that is brand new and I forgot how bad the one used daily for 4 years is.

When I bought my Charger all I had were the OEM 2006 key/fobs, one was worn so bad it was just solid flat black everywhere and you couldn't even tell what button was what

I ended up buying a new entire key/fob assembly, this way I had it cut and programmed it myself and now have 2 working spares if I ever need to add/replace any in the future I can still program them myself

I got the new shell in. It fit perfectly. This was just a shell and buttons. I took the PSB from the original key and moved it over. Perfect. Only$10 or so. I got it from Key Fob Mall in Omaha. I've going to get another on for later, and maybe one for the Challenger as well.
