Well I was going to order the ramps from Summit today but their price on the ramps I want is $369, I can get them directly from Race Ramps for $352. I sent Summit an email to see if they would match the price, if so I'll buy them from summit. The shipping charges from Summit are about the same as buying them from Race Ramps.

I'd love to have these, but I can't bring myself to spend that on ramps when free 2x12 boards work getting my lowered RT up on my Rhino ramps.

However, I did notice today one of my 5 year old Rhino ramps has cracked down the middle. Wonder if that's a safety issue. It cracked long ways along the brace in the middle.

Yeah, no way would I ever put a 4000 lb + car up on cracked or defective ramps. Dangerous for the car AND the owner. I would throw them in the garbage at once and get new ones! OR take them back to Advance or Auto Zone or wherever you bought them - they may exchange them at NO COST to you! Tractor Supply did that with my cheap floor jack that accordioned at the track on me last summer.

Also, since this has happened to Jay, I will keep an eye on mine for this problem. If I saw a crack, I'd return them to Advance Auto where I bought them.

How much is $350 or so in the grand scheme. From what I know, the race ramps are a one time purchase. I know Eddie at SHR has had his from many years and uses them daily. There's just nothing to break.

I'll find something else to save on besides the things holding a 4500lb weight as I crawl under it.

Yeah, I just noticed it was cracked the other day when I walked by it hanging on my wall. I'll probably just buy some new ones.

It's not the $350 that bothers me...it's $350 for plastic ramps that bothers me. They may be nice, but they're still just plastic ramps. Seems steep to me for what they are.

Just different priorities I guess.

Yes but they're nothing at all like the Rhino Ramps as they can't be broken. It would be next to impossible to destroy them as they are structural high density foam, not molded plastic that can become brittle, cracked, or broken. They are simply apples and oranges.

May be.... But, check the country of origin on the next set from Summit or Jegs or whom ever else and you will probably find they are made by the same little Chinese guy that makes these.

Some guy over over on CT just paid big $$ for some Foose wheels and when he looked at the back... Made in China.

Yep, Foose wheels made in China. That's why I went with Boss. Saved about $800 bucks as well.

I don't like the metal ramps because they have a nasty habit of sliding on concrete, especially if there's any water on the floor.

Lucky man, Dale! I would have done my headers and cats myself if I'd had that setup. Same basic lift they had at Solo's shop.
