Swapped out my steering wheel badge for a nice stainless steel NexusStudiosOnline.com badge. High quality and relatively easy to install.

Took about 30 minutes to disassemble the steering wheel cover to remove the old ugly rams head and swap this one on. Has built in tabs, no stick on stuff.

Nice. Sure beats the Goats Head badge.

I just ordered the same one Jay. Thanks for the link. Hmmmm.. they should pay you a small commission eh?

I will probably get it in February due to all the Christmas mail and that I live in the frozen north of igloos and maple syrup.

Damn...I did the pry method. I did find an adhesive that keeps the emblem on though. I think I'll use your video tips and take the wheel apart to see if I can fish out those clips! Thanks for posting.

But what happens if the airbag deploys and you have that hunk of metal shoved into your face at high velocity?

That would worry me as well. I think I would get a soft one from Nate if I changed it.

Dan with questions like that I thought I was back on CT for a minute :)

I doubt the badge can come off if the air bag deploys. It's on there dang tight with those three mushroom prongs. No different than the plastic one that comes on it from Dodge. While it may not be quite as heavy, the edges are sharper so I'd say there's no difference "safety" wise. The metal badge isn't very heavy.

Has anyone seen a crashed Challenger pic with the air bag deployed? What happened to the stock badge? Did it stay on the cover? The way the cover is cut so as to release the air bag it looks like the whole face flips up.

Anyway, I honestly don't worry about such things. I'm driving a 550+HP car around on the street and the strip, I got bigger things to think about lol

I think the airbag cover splits below the emblem on deployment

Perfect. As you can see, the emblem stays on the steering wheel, and the stock emblem came off A LOT easier than this upgraded one went on. I don't think there is any issue with it coming off if the air bag deploys.

Thanks Speedy, the one mod 1) I did not want to try myself and 2) did not trust the dodge dealership to do.

Again, your guide made this look easy, well worth it and something I'm now going to do. Looks like I have another item on the list of mods I want to do.

It's very easy. Takes about 20 minutes.

The biggest thing is just give time for the air bag system to discharge after disconnecting the battery.

This... ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I did not know. I ordered the same one. He said that there is one left. Mine is in the mail.

Video makes it look so much easier. Thanks Jay.
