Got the recall too...I am waiting until after CF5 before I take it in. I drive exclusively on autostick, but I guess I better get it changed anyway.

No, but the Tech needs to know the crank pulley is pinned so going back he needs to get them back in position. Also you need to be careful with the nipple that the heater hose goes into as they are held in with Loc-Tite and can be pulled out easily. Outside of that it is the same as Stock.

Probably dumb questions but here we go. Using auto stick or paddle shift same thing? I have a 13 rtc no worries? Can the dealer turn off mds?

Just called the big dealer here in Southeast Texas, they won't hand over the part.  They say Chrysler won't pay for the part unless their certified techs install it.  I called BS and that I didn't care if they wouldn't warranty the replacement.  Still no-go.

My new block arrives this week, I have no intention of bringing it to them to work on.  Since I have only 10k miles before using the non-mds cam and a lot of that 10k was auto-stick, I'm not too concerned, but I'd rather fix it now with the engine out.

One of two things. Really dumb questions (what else do you expect from a newb) or cf5 hangover. I guess I'll change my user name to thread killa.

Thanks Time. So if you autostick when you go from 5 to drive does that let mds come back on?

Yes while in drive MDS is activated.  It isn't always in use unless you are cruising though.  I'm sure others know more specifics, I just know I turned that crap off as soon as I could
