Ram Air - not a chance unless your name is Hemisam or Lowlife. But, when cruising you will see IAT's about 10° above the outside air temp.

... I doubt it, but I like the CAI that comes with it and it works with my magnacharger.
I'm assuming you just modified the stock delivered piece to work with the magna?

^^^^^ No the CAI connected right to the magnacharger. Petty uses the same cervini CAI with their magnacharger and a shaker hood.
When we were getting our builds done, Petty's was modifying the Cervini's shaker hood setup to work with the Magnacharger. Saw what the custom work in their workshop. This has since been corrected by Cervinis, Phil?

Yeah Sam they had to make custom brackets for the shaker and the magnacharger, but the CAI / air filter part is a direct bolt up to the magnacharger. When we were getting our builds done, Petty's was modifying the Cervini's shaker hood setup to work with the Magnacharger. the scoops do not drop engine temp 10*, they lower engine bay temps some directly under the scoops per speedy's testing. The main purpose of a CAI is to get more air flow, not cooler air.Yes I think that is the under hood piece that I am talking about. But I just found some data to show an average of 10* temp drop and almost 20* locational drop in temp using just the scoops alone. I cant imagine directing the air to the cia is any better then just cooling the entire engine 10*.

Ah...I understand now, Phil. Agree...that's what we saw.

I have that cervini set up , the dead air zone is a myth that has been continued by some wind tunnel test on a NASCAR challenger as evidence. I have a video showing the scoops pulling in air using the cervini set up. But I am on my phone now, will post later. Does it help much to speak of? I doubt it, but I like the CAI that comes with it and it works with my magnacharger.
Good to know this Ty ....
That just feaking beautiful.....
Here you go finally got home. Here is the vid showing it pulls in outside air and a pic of the CAI hooked to my magnacharger like Petty does theirs.
