I had an idea and gave it a try. I always figured the pic at the top was more of a banner than a logo, so here are my ideas:

Standard, no frills, mopar blue:

Added a little flair, with a shadow:

Changed the shadow to hemi orange:

Added the pentastar:

So, just a few ideas stemming from that first one. All the originals are in Adobe Illustrator, so if anyone has any ideas, I could add things in, change colors, etc.

What do you guys think?

They can be resized to whatever. I figured this could go with the banner we currently have. I don't know what format Alan's using for the cards, but the logo would be just a part of that.

Maybe tonight I'll mock up an example of what I'm thinking of (I'll be out until tonight).

Yeah I like that.

Loose the pentastar.

Put the Mopar "M" in teh back ground.

Then

www.ModernMoparForum.com across it.  Simple and let's folks know where to go.  Background black, letting blue with white outline.

Heh, took me a while to track down that Mopar font.

Anyway, something like these?

Hemi font:

Dodge font:

Then both with a little sumpin sumpin:

Speedy, just saw your post; I'll have something like that in a bit. Do you like either of these fonts, or just go with something more "normal?" And do you mean the background for the whole thing should be black, so the Mopar "M" is blue with white outline? What about the text for the web address?

THAT is what I'm talking about.  make the www.ModernMoparForums.com a bit bigger since that is what we're advertising with the cards and I think you have a winner.  Excellent job!

All right, something like this:

This one's in 3.5x2 aspect, so it gives an idea what a card would look like.

I can send you the cars as a psd file so you can try to work them in... may not work with your theme but it could be worth a shot.

Okay, that would be great. My original thought was to use your pic as the main image, with the logo at the top left or top centered or something.

Ah, shit, that is a concern, isn't it? I think it's okay as long as no one makes money off of this, but I'm sure that's a complicated legal situation even when the only money you get goes right into supporting the site itself. Just the fact that there is money (lifetime memberships & vendor fees) at all is likely an issue. We could at least try it until we get a cease-and-desist, then just comply and change it. It might even work to just ask for permission, since this is a relatively small forum yet and they might not care.

I like what you guys have done, but I will most likely use the one TF created without the M.

We have been using the M for the past 15 years with our local club...as long as you are not a business promoting for profit/sales you are fine.
Plus we are talking about just a few hundred business cards here.

http://challengercli...tyle_emoticons/default/laugh.gif  Okay, fine, be that way!

I did some looking around regarding using the M symbol, and as long as this is non-profit, it's fine. Honestly, our use of the word "Mopar" treads on the same ground here anyway. That name is trademarked along with the symbol.
