OK experts, what would be a realistic 0-60 time for my 2012 R/T Plus with CAI and resonator delete?

I have the stock Goodyear F1s and the PCM is locked out, so it hasn't been tuned.

Last night I did it in 5.3 seconds and that has been my best time so far.

Last night? Central Alabama - dunno but I'm gonna guess warm and humid. That costs a couple tenths. Probably a good time, given the fact you've got no Predator tune.

That's probably as good as you can do on the stock tires, with a completely stock engine. CAI and exhaust without any tuning probably add 5 or 10 hp at most. The canned Diablosport tunes help the automatic cars out a lot. Chris or Jack have a lot more info on the benefits of even the canned tunes for the auto cars.

It was in the upper 70's and the humidity was't bad,,,only 75%. And we're about 700' above sea level.

My best has been 4.8 seconds and that was only with the 91 cai tune applied and the good year rsa tires.

Yeah, ....I'm not coordinated enough to hold a stopwatch and steer the car at the same time.

Well, keep in mind that the EVIC is not going to be as accurate as an external timing method due to traction (wheelspin).

Mike, you need to get a buddy with a radar gun and a stopwatch. If your screen name is any indication, you'd have access to that!

I bet you're about ready to pull your hair out. Both of those were just nuts.

I'm glad I'm on a three day weekend. Then I go to my new job as an unemployed ditch digger.

what do you mean unemployed?

I am hoping that there is more to the story on LeBlanc, with holding judgement until we know more. Asfar as the fires, it is what it is. Been pulling snitch sheets all week, doesnt look good. If it is him, them he deserves what he gets.

Me and Tubbs might be going to Avondale Brewery later today, if you wnt to come by, not sure what time though.

Hey, you law enforcement guys need to go out with the radar guns and get some good data to tell us how accurate or inaccurate the EVICs really are. From the track we already know that they're off from the true 1/4 mile times, so I suspect the same is true for the 0-60's, but nobody I know of has tested it yet.

We're all about testing and verification on this forum!

I'm not going anywhere. But if I claim to be an unemployed ditch digger on my Facebook page, then I can't get in trouble for my opinions with my current employer.

LeBlanc surprised me. The other one (or two), not so much. If they did it...then they need to do the honorable thing and check out. IMAO

I just got home from my weekend errands and I'm going to watch the NASCAR race.

If they (the bosses in the ivory tower) would let me take mine out on to our skid pad...there would be a lot of testing done, and I would have to have a new set of tires too!

I don't have the EVIC, so I use my Trinity for 0-60, 0-100 mph, and 1/4 mile. It's logging the same PIDs as EVIC, so I would assume the result is identical.

This was a couple weeks ago - I made a couple unsatisfactory runs at the dragstrip the previous night with my street tires, so I went out on the street in 80F+ weather the next day to try and perfect my launch technique

I think in general an automatic R/T with no tune will be a little slower than a six speed with tune. It takes the tuning to help the shift point to really get the advantage with an auto

Agreed, with the stock tune the shifts are pretty lazy. That will be the biggest improvement once your able to tune her. I've been riding around on the stock tune for a few weeks and I down right hate it. I need to hurry up and order my Trinity!

My best time for 0-60 is 4.8 sec and yes that is with the EVIC. But then again that was in Ohio before the Nats and it was a brisk morning. Down here I want to say the best I have done is 5.0+.

I will say this Mike, it is wise to mind what you say on any public forum. That really goes for everyone. As far as the "Ivory Tower" ...lol I havent heard that term in a long time. I was in the tower at one time and that is why I asked to go West. As far as pulling my hair out...I guess in the end I am always responsible. But no matter what rules or policies I have in place, If some dumb asz wants to break them not a whole lot I can do. It will all work out in the end, but you know when something like this happens there will always be some new rules that we are going to have to do.
