After attending CF3 and seeing some great cars and getting some great advice, I started calling vendors to price a build. I quickly found out how expensive things get. My wish list out grew my budget!

Arrington gave me some options to fit my budget and I went with the stock srt 6.4 swap. I was starting with a bone stock 2010 rt.

This is what I went with: Stock SRT 6.4 with 6.1 stage 1 ported intake, 90mm tb, 6.1 mid pipes, corsa catback, arrington CAI and DS handheld tuner.

I took my car over to them on May 25th and they started it after the holiday weekend. I got the word today that it's mostly finished with the exception of tuning, which should happen this Monday.

I'll post up post tune results when I get them.

Take Care
Earl

Pretty cool stuff, not sure I have seen anyone else do this, but I may have missed it.

Can't wait to see the final product, I am sure you will be grinning for a while.

What are you expecting to see? Love to know the price but I understand if you don't want to divulge.

Very nice! Sounds like what you did was a very nice combo and I would say you will end up around 500 RWHP.
It will be like a whole new car when you get it back.
Congrats.

Thanks Mani..

Thanks rob, I don't think 500 hp is going to happen without some type of power adder...but that sure would surprise me if it did.

I don't think it will make quite that much... I'm thinking 450-460 at best on that dyno.

To the OP... your going to get tired of the one-wheel-peel real quick. I'd look into a Getrag diff/axle swap.

That would be this thread, right? About $9k or so all told? Was that price after giving them your 5.7 (i.e. it would be much higher if you kept your old engine)?

* ETA - Thinking this over a little more, did they take an incomplete engine and transfer over parts from the 5.7? That would make a bit more sense, though it still raises the question of what happens to the price if you keep the remains of the 5.7.

That's cool. You're gonna have fun and you've got a great platform for wherever you decide to take it.

If you end up looking for a 3.92 Getrag and stock axles, lemme know. Just don't have the toner rings on them. I'll cut a good deal and no hurry. Been sitting in my garage a good while and a while longer won't hurt.

I'd hit a liquor store and get Sam's 3.92 differential asap. Your going to have trouble going anywhere with your current set up. I saw what the 3.92's did for me on my 6.1 if you put them in your car maybe with a converter my guess would be mid to high 11's all day long. It will also let you enjoy everything you just did a hell of a lot more.
