I ordered the this kit a while ago, just got around to putting it in now.  The Hurst shifter is an improvement over stock, but after many miles and track passes it had become sloppy.  The handle had started buzzing too, so it was time to upgrade.

Install is very straightforward, and the instructions are pretty good.  My box didn't have any printed instructions but the PDF is on the site.

I was surprised to see that one of the bolts holding the knob to the block was just lying on the floor, and the other bolt I undid with my fingers.  That would explain the buzzing.  I used some loctite blue upon reassembly.

This is a great design, guys.  Dodge should license it.

Hell yeah, Denis.  I went through two stock Hursts and chewed the hell out of them.  Since Larry's mod, the shifter is still tight as hell after many many beatings...

I can't wait to drive it on the road.  It's too bad there's a bit of play in the stock linkage.

I really like Larry's mod as well.  Makes the shifts so much more positive.

Yeah, Denis.  I spoke with Rockland about that.  In their trans setups for our cars they do have an option that removes the remote shifter and tightens up the linkage (you can see how long our shit is when you pull it for the Hurst or Larry's upgrade...less than ideal for a performance vehicle).  One gent i know purchased a Tranzilla setup like that (he's a road racer) but he's still got it sitting in his garage.  I've not gotten any feedback on how it improved if at all.
