Thanks Chris.  I am glad we could work together to make all this happen.  It was a win-win for both us.  I liked the photoshop I did going into the decision, but the final product came out much better.  I don't see a ton of Challengers around here, and I haven't seen any black ones with this wheel setup at all.  So I kind of took a leap of blind faith.  It was a good leap.

Thanks again.  Stay in contact.

Found a pretty sweet bolt...in my rear tire. Could just replace the with another F1...but what fun would that be. Stock black pocket SRT rims. Only summer/rain, no snow, so I figure this thread has my options. Like the price on those Coopers.

My question is how wide can I go on the rears? F1 width leaves a bit to be desired.

I've seen 295/40/20 mounted on stock SRT rims numerous times, they look bad ass. The Conti DWS ftw.

Hey Brian, So you store you car during fall/winter? I'm not to keen on driving my car around during inclement weather either. It's been sitting in my garage for the better part of this week because of the rain we've been getting recently (finally). I just hate getting my car all dirty..........

There's still a fair amount of wear on my F1's so I'll use them until their done. I'm probably going to bank some $$ and go with the Conti's when the time comes.

Ya 295's on the rear without any rubbing issues.....a few people have put 305's on but get some slight rubbing. Are you gonna use a staggered setup? Maybe 295's on the rear and 275 or 255 up front???? Or are you thinking about one size all around?

Ya I agree about the Conti DWS's......just the fact that you can rotate left/right for better/longer wear has got me sold on them. I'm hoping I can get 12-15K miles more on these F1's before I need to buy new tires

I'm running the 245/45's on front and the 295/40 rear, they fill up the wheel well's nicely.

I garage it in the winter. Traction is bad enough in the cold let alone snow. Shes out in the rain tho so i have to wash it often in spring, especially now with the black hood.

I'm going to go staggered 245s up front. So far best I found the contis was 258 each for the rear. First thing I need to do is find out how deep that bolt is and whether this is a now or right fucking now purchase.

On the fronts....the issue I ran into is the SRT wheels require the BT 5mm spacers to make them fit right on the RT's.  If not, you get a slight rub when turning hard and backing up.  That in mind, I didn't feel comfortable going wider than 245's up front.  I did see some posts where guys were trying to stuff 275's up front and doing double spacers, etc.  I hate spacers.  Think they are a bad idea.  No disrespect to BT....I bought their stuff and it's top notch.  I'm just not a fan of them if you can avoid them.  I couldn't and I believe I have a great setup but I'd still like it w/o spacers if possible.

If you have an SRT, I'd stick with a 245/45 up front.  No spacers.  No drama.  Save a few bucks on tires too.  Also, the overall size diameter works well with either 275/40's or 295/40's.  Only downside is running staggered setups limit your rotation/life of tires.  FYI, the Coopers can still rotate left/right.

On the rears...the 275/40's fit comfortably and within a few tenths of the "recommended" tire width for the wheel width.  I will try to get a shot from the back showing the width.  I really wanted the 295's myself but it's a little bigger than recommended for the 9" Alcoa rims.  I've ran bigger tires than recommended before, so I might have went with the 295's if Coopers had that option.  They didn't so, it made it pretty easy for me.

One last bit of info....be sure to check competing sites.  I used Discount Tire for actual purchase, but had them price match another place I used in the past (also very good) called Tread Depot.  I can forward you my DT sale rep's contact info if you want it.  He was really easy to work with, knew his product and didn't give me crap about the price match.  That was my first experience with DT and they were really awesome.  I did buy online to avoid taxes and get maximum rebates.  Their local shops might match, but I have a buddy hookup (know about half the guys in that garage ) at a dealership shop that was doing my oil and a few other things at the same time so that made more sense for me.

I know those prices when I bought had a rebate from Cooper, rebate from DT for tires and also another rebate from DT for using their credit card.  I had cash to pay but opened an account to save a few more dollars.  Will just pay in full when the bill comes in.

Kenny's got me sold on the DWS.  Those Nitto rears gotta go.  Tire Rack has the best price I've seen so far.

My fronts are still in great shape and I've got 2 like new 245/45 stock Firehawks, any reason to match the tread pattern?

I have the Conti's 275 20x9 front ,315 20 x11 rear. Yes the rear will rub unless you use a spacer in the rear or do as I did(My husband) and remove the rear plastic inner fender cover and lightly massage the metal and then put the plastic back on and carefully heat it to shape with a heat gun.

Thought I'd report back on my experience with the Coopers.  I have a few thousand miles on them now.  We've had a "mild" summer thus far, but still seen temps range from 60's to low 100's.  Also, above average on rainfall.

Thus far the tires are sticky as can be.  They seem to like it the hotter it gets.  Traction in rain is unbelievable.  I nailed the crap out of my car the other day in a corner with rain coming down just to see what would happen.  I was AMAZED at how well it grabbed traction.  My old tires would have put me in the ditch no doubt.  I didn't even think about playing in the rain.

Overall, still very pleased with my purchase.  No wear is noticeable.  A small thing, but I also like the way the tire looks.  For me, the real test will be this winter (despite having "mild" winters compared to some of your crazy Canuks!).  But right now, I can say you get a lot of bang for the buck.
