When the module went out on mine it only had 1000 miles on the car, it started acting up intermittently so I took it to the dealer and they couldn't reproduce the issues and said it checked out fine so I went and picked it up. On the way home I stopped to grab a burger, came out and it started then died, did this several times then finally nothing. They picked the car up and 3 days later got back to me saying the iignition key module was bad and it would be 7-10 days because the part was on back order.

I am almost positive it is the FOB battery. Mine did the same thing, backup FOB worked. Replaced non working FOB battery and presto. All was well with the world again.

I've had similar issues. Below is a link to my old thread. Apparently Dodge needs to spend 5 cents more and put in some decent fucking batteries. If it matters, mine is still shit. I haven't replaced the battery. And I haven't made it to the dealer yet. It just irks me to no end that TWO key FOB's can't make it for 2.5 years. I think I will go buy some batteries today and relieve some stress. ![]()
