To my valued customers,
Due to the significant increase in email tunes over the last year (in addition to our in-house dyno tuning business) I felt it necessary to communicate some changes that I need to implement to preserve my sanity.
The most important thought I would like to communicate is to please be patient.
In the past I would often turn around new tunes or tuning modifications the same day β sometimes in the same hour. That just is not possible with the current volume of tuning.
I used to be able to acknowledge receiving every email but I can no longer do that. I am a one-man operation. Therefore I am the only person on my end communicating with you, reading your logs, altering your tune and replying with details concerning the changes made.
Please realize that I am performing the same actions for other customers simultaneously. Currently my workload is heavy, in some cases I have been email tuning, responding to emails and consulting on the phone for as long as 10 hours a day to meet the demand. This is in addition to my full time job which takes another 10 hours out of my day.
I canβt sustain this level of effort.
At present, it is often taking three to five days for me to properly respond to emails, tuning revisions, performance modification requests etc. Again it would benefit me greatly if my email tuning customers adhere to the following as much as possible:
General questions:
- Please send one email at a time and please wait for a response, I can assure you I will respond as soon as I am able.
- Ensure the information you wish to communicate to me is clear, concise and in as few words as possible, point form would be preferable as this will contribute to a quicker response.
Submission of data logs:
- Unless otherwise requested, try to keep data logs as short as possible, at most 2-3 minutes in length. A few 20 minute driving logs and my ISP email box fills blocking all emails.
- I have a tendency to grab at the βlow hanging fruitβ. So, if I receive an email with a log that states βcan you lower my idle 50rpmβ or βcan you richen up my WOT fueling from 5-6500rpmβ or βI saw some KR at 6000rpm in the attached log β can you take a quick lookβ. I consider these descriptions both helpful and very easy to address so often they will jump to the front of the line.
NOTE: As always, if you have an βEmergencyβ (reflashed PCM and stuck at the dealer, at the track and need a tuning revision, accidentally unmarried your tuner and car wonβt run etc.) I will always push you to the front of the crowd to get you going.
My desire is to continue to provide the same personalized service to my customers with as little delay as possible and at the same time keeping my wife happy
Have great day!
Mike
