I just wasted 30 minutes of my evening. I figured the '4:40' start time for the SEMA press event was a signal that they would have a motor to announce.

Nope.

Just a bunch of crap with Chrysler just trying to grab some of the aftermarket dollars being spent on parts.

Shaker hood included. Black or white exterior available. 20 Mopar Shop upgrades available. 3 stripe options. Adding personalization makes it possible to have a one of one car. Scat Pack options available. lol

Mopar Scat Packages boost your Dodge Challenger, Charger and Dart

Today’s Dodge rides leave the factory with prodigious amounts of horsepower and torque, while still delivering a great ride and impressive fuel economy.

But for many enthusiasts – and we know you’re one of them because you’re here at Mopar Under the Hood – more is always better.

And more is what you’re getting from Mopar and Dodge with the return of the Scat Pack Club, 45 years after Dodge created the club in 1968.

What does it mean for you? In short, factory-engineered, bolt-on performance upgrades for the Dodge Charger and Challenger with the available 5.7-liter HEMI V-8, and the Dodge Dart with the available 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine.

More importantly, these upgrades include engine control computers recalibrated to take full advantage of the upgrades for more power.

Details of the Scat Packages were released during the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. It also gave Mopar and Dodge a chance to show off a trio of cars fitted with the Scat Packages and several other upgrades, including a slick, remote-controlled exhaust bypass system with side-exit pipes.

The Scat Packages will be available from Mopar and your favorite Chrysler Group dealership. The upgrades range from cold-air intakes and cat-back exhaust systems to beefier brakes, stiffer sway bars and a more aggressive camshaft for the HEMI V-8.

There’s lots of information available on the new Dodge Scat Packages and the specially equipped Charger, Challenger and Dart on display at the SEMA show. You can find all the details at here!

But we’ve enlisted author and TV commentator, Steve Magnante and Mopar enthusiast, Christy Lee to give you an insider’s look at where the modern Scat Packages were born, what parts are upgraded for the Charger and Challenger, and just what the Scat Package will do for you on the drag strip.

It was a sarcastic post, none the less lol

If this is all they have to offer, then it's deserving!

I'm so down with this...except I'm into my '13 R/T Classic for $24K already. Man I hate my steering wheel.

I really like the idea of the remote controlled exhaust bypass. Being from the factory will mean it is legal to have on the car.( although not legal to use on the street). But...who would do that? lol

Wish they would come out with a freakin' SRT4 AWD Dart!! With at least 300 HP. I'd own one tomorrow.

You bet. Digging the cast iron exhaust manifolds too. Shit's as benign as the mole on my ass cheek.

Someone posted a pic on facebook that the shaker wasn't functional. Weird.

Looks functional to me. Seals against the hood and sucks air through the tube from the shaker.

I like the looks of the Shaker, but I'm guessing the price will be astronomical.

But that's what SEMA is - an aftermarket parts show. If they had new cars or plants to show it would come in New York or Detroit.

They announced the Mopar '14 Challenger. I was hoping for something to do with a 440. :(
