I think I need a new name for this car, Great White Piston Punisher lol

Car has been running awesome. Took it out to give a relative a ride Thursday morning, got it nice and warmed up, jumped on it up a little over the legal limit got to the next stoplight and it was making a shitty knocking noise. Only a half mile from home, got her home and it sounded like valve train issue. Shut it down and took off to the mother in laws. Started it later in the day, sounded ok. Got back in it Saturday, a little noise coming from the engine bay, got underneath it and it sounded like shit.S

So I loaded it up on a trailer and took it to Alb440's shop. Started to try and diagnose it, really felt and sounded like it was coming from the oil pan. Thought maybe rod bearings by the sound of it. We didn't have time to take it apart, so Al took it apart last night, all the bearing were good. He scoped the cylinders, and #6 looked like it was broke. He got the heads off tonite, #6 appears to be melted, and the intake valve is bent.

Here is the damage so far.

Have been sending a few logs to Johan for some tweaks, and everything has appeared to be fine.

Made some phone calls today on strokers, no sure exactly what I am going to do except water the fuck out of my money tree.

How much boost were you running?  Just curious if you were close to the limit (I thought the drop ins were supposed to be good to 10-12 lbs of boost) or if these 392's are going to be perpetually hard on pistons no matter what.

Damn Alan.  Sorry to see this, but you'll end up with a better mill in the end capable of more mojo.

Sadly, others may be in the same boat with those slugs...

Ouch. When you get that money tree growing like you want, send me the extra. I'm going to need a trans and axles before I push mine too hard.

Sorry to hear about the engine...hopefully it's just an isolated incident.
