A few local places here will not mount and balance if you don't buy from them, so I buy nothing from them. There is one shop on the other side of town that I make the 30 minute drive to for everything. Always great service, never a scuff on anything...knock on wood.

I have told all of my tire techs to disable the "Smart Weight" feature. It's only purpose is to save the shop money on wheel weights, and if we were still mounting 70 and 75 series tires all day long, it would be fine. But we do NOT use it. We balance to "0", not "OK".
So you take the Balancer out of .25oz Round Mode in Dynamic and Static Planes and Balance under .25oz on every wheel? You must have great Techs that go through all the Modes to Check for any Residual Static or Residual Dynamic, 99.99999% of the techs will not do that. Then plus with the Indirect Drive on that Balancer you are always everyday checking the calibration and chasing Zero, probably no risk in finding zero everyday.
Guess it would be nice if you could look at the Residuals without switching screens and have a robust Direct Drive assembly that had no moving parts to go out of calibration. You know DSP does mean Filter, as in Filter out the noise in the Drive system then find Zero?
Sorry to bust your balls but you like so many others drank the Kool-Aid. I am glad you are happy with it.

Don't Buy BF Goodrich Comp 2, I have them and they suck.
Don't get too caught up in only shops with Road Force.
That's my .2 ![]()

345. I have the same tires and think they're great. Especially if you compare them to the F1's. What don't you like about the comp2?
Can't get traction, probably not all the tires fault.

Yes, our power levels are slightly different, me being a stock 6.1.
. On a stock 6.1 they are pretty damn good. Traction has been much improved over the F1's. I did go to a 275 in the rear which helped also (the BFG's appear to run a bit wider than the numbers would indicate). I can't compare these to Invos or NT05's or the Conti's that are popular around here, but compared to F1's I cannot find a downfall.

Look, we've touched on this before, and I have the same position now that I did then. We have been able to fix lots of NVH problems at our shop that other shops in the area have tried multiple times to remedy and failed. My customers are happy, so I am happy.
I'm sorry that you work for a company (which you have always failed to name) that has to disprove the industry standard to try to gain new customers. It's an uphill battle, and I can understand your frustration. But telling guys who have been successful using the Hunter Road Force machines that they are using overpriced garbage and they don't know what they are doing is not going to help your cause.

I'm good with your Kool-Aid nova...
I'm wondering what flavour 345 is drinking. He obviously likes it.
