I always fill up and add stabil at the gas station. That way it gets a chance to work its way through the fuel lines and stuff on the way home. Then I park her and throw a battery tender on it and don't start it till I'm ready to drive it up to full operating temp in the spring. Have never had a problem doing it that way over the last couple years.

Same here because I'm stuck driving a 90hp Honda civic that keeps me out of trouble!

I would add a bit of Marine grade Sta-Bil or some Seafoam. That's what I use in my Honda CRV, Monte Carlo SS, Challenger, 4 wheeler, Zero Turn mower, weed eater, chain saw etc... They all start and run in the spring with fresh fuel to fill the tank. But then I add it to every gas can fill all year long. I would do it to my RV but it has a 75 gal tank and we try to use it at least once a month to get away from the daily grind.

Remember ethanol is hygroscopic... But, as the fuel system is considered a closed system there should little water in the gas even after a few months of sitting. But if you have a boat that has a vented system you best use something.

I know this is old... but I agree.
Marine Stabil is the ticket if you live in a 10% ethanol state.
Regular red Stabil doesn't deal with the ethanol.

Well, I followed GSO's advice - kept her below 1/8th of a tank, and did nothing except park her and keep the Battery Tender hooked up.

She ran good when I exercised her on Saturday, after 63 days. I put 20 bucks in fresh premium in her tank. Only weird thing - after I put gas in (driven the car about 1/2 mile) when I started back up she kept idling up to 3500 rpm, then down to 3000 rpm, and back up to 3500. I thought maybe the throttle was caught on the mat or something, but it wasn't. It didn't happen again after I drove a couple miles. Weird PCM shit there - Ghost in the machine. Didn't do it again when I took the R/T for a 6 or 7 mile run yesterday.

Not worried now - because it's only 6 weeks until spring. She won't be stored nearly so long.
