I have a 2010 r/t auto.
I usually shift it manually myself but today I tried leaving it in 1st and I understood it will shift to next gear when reaching engine max rpm.
I watch the tach climb 3 then 4 then 5 then 6000 rpm's
Well almost 6500 rpm later and going 55 mph it still would not shift up and the car's pedal had alot more to go.
I quickly backed off thinking this isn't right .
I have no tune and the car's basically stock.
Canadian cars have no rpm redline marks on the tach. What is the auto redlining at ?

So what did I do wrong? Does the car need to be looked at from the Dealer?

Dang... same car here. Never had this problem. Was your foot all the way to the floor? I only use the Autostick at the track. I just nudge her into Autostick, leave the line, slowly put pedal to the floor and the computer does everything for me. If I remember correctly, I believe it shifts around 5600 rpm. Try it again with your foot right to the floor.

Where abouts in Ontario are you? I am from Toronto. You going to CF3?

You bought it new, correct?

That is a feature of the MTCM that we all want. If you start from a dead stop, in auto-stick mode, floor it, does it shift then?

The 5.7 stick cars, stock, are electronically rev-limited to 5850 rpm. The Diablosport canned tunes raise it to 6000 (or 6050 I forget). But no where near 6500 rpm.

Do the autos have a higher rev limit???

We can reset the rev limit much higher than that with the pred/trinity. Stock redline is around 5700-5800.

It was in 1st from a dead stop then continued slowly onto a side road and then kept gradually pushing the gas until it reached 6500 and said fuck this it wanted to keep revving up and I know I felt I could of buried the tach.
I could tell by the engines noise and with my aftermarket exhaust which made it louder it was up there in rpm's.
Scared the frigging cows nearby.

The car was bought new with only 3 miles on it.

I'm in Oakville Stevo and no not going to CF3.

I'll try one more time by just mashing the pedal from a stop but not letting it jump up as high in rpm's just in case.If the rpms reach up there I'll take it in to the dealer.

I thought it was a WOT thing, but getting to 6500 w/o hitting the rev limiter is odd.

Just a dumb question here.... but I had to ask.... just thinking of all possibilities in order to help you.

The car was at operating temp when you took it out in Autostick?

YellowRT... CF3 will be a blast man! It is THE show to go to. You will learn a lot about your car and mods plus plus you will make a TON of new friends. Lots of Laffs and Beers.... oh... did I mention we are having a BBQ Friday and it's free (thanks to our sponsors).

Good Luck with your next try with the Autostick.

Waiting to see the result.
