There is a formal break in period detailed in the Owner's Manual. Page 71 in mine. Here is what it says.
ENGINE BREAK-IN RECOMMENDATIONS
A long break-in period is not required for the drivetrain
(engine, transmission, clutch, and rear axle) in your new
vehicle.
Drive moderately during the first 500 mi (800 km). After
the initial 60 mi (100 km), speeds up to 50 or 55 mph (80
or 90 km/h) are desirable.
While cruising, brief full-throttle acceleration within the
limits of local traffic laws contributes to a good break-in.
However, wide-open throttle acceleration in low gear can
be detrimental and should be avoided.
Break in is pretty lax, as you can see. I wouldn't worry about it much - lots of full throttle operation during the first 500 miles is good for the engine, per Dodge as long as it is "within the limits of local traffic laws" - or not.

Glad you're back on the road Deb. It astonishes me why they would come out the top. Chuck and I were talking at CF3 about how they come out the bottom with the proper hoist and a handful of bolts and dropping the entire thing from underneath.
Yep seems to be much easier.
