well, since my old thread is archived I will start a new one,
went to the dealer last week to see about them changing my trans filter and fluid, over 50,000 miles on it so I figured I would need to get it changed before some hard running later on.
well Jessie(service manager told me to take it to another shop that does all their tranny work.
he says using them wont void my warranty since they do their warranty work. they told me for my car they would use Amsoil fluid. it is a synthetic fluid so I guess that is a good fluid to use ......yes?
just making sure before i figured I fuck it up big time.

Factory stuff from Mother Mopar is Synthetic. I used the factory stuff when I did the blue tops/valvebody. If you are going to the trans shop Dave, I highly recommend a trans cooler if you don't have one. Cheap insurance against future headaches. After 28 years of hard driving, I have "cooked" a few trans. Just trying to help you spend your money!

All ATF fluid is synthetic. ATF is a coolant and friction modifier not an oil

As long as the Amsoil is not ridiculously expensive, Dave. I use Mobil 1 and some hard core G-Force stuff (3 to 1) based on Hanlon's recommendation. They wanted me to use two qts of the heavy stuff but screw that. A guy's gotta speed shift around here...

As long as it is ATF+4 your warranty will be fine.
Slowest supercharged Challenger. Ever.
