Oh man, Jim, if I'd known this yesterday I would have included you in my prayers since I go to mass on Saturday evenings. But I'll still include you in my prayers, and cross all appendages.

Eric's promised me delivery, here in Memphis, no later than the 23rd, Tues. He is a man of his word. Just unnerves me a little popping a car that's had this much work done to it off the trailer and hitting the road for a 1,400 mile roadtrip with no chance for a local shakedown here in Memphis 1st. It'll be OK. Highway miles are the best way to break in a new car and this is gonna be a new car. B)

All,

Will be there Friday around 12:30.... Willing to pit crew for whoever needs the help. Will bring clothes to get dirty in just in case. What else do I need to bring? (tools, distilled water in gallon jugs, duck tape, etc. ) What do you guys need? Kenny/Lisa/Chuck have my cell number and can call me on the way in if I need to stop and get anything for anyone....Let me know. Will be there all day Saturday too...If it rains (I hope not) and Sunday turns out to be "the day", I took Monday off from work and will stay another day to pit crew if needed...

Are we there yet?!

Bring yourself, a chair, some sunblock, a cooler and come hang with us. If there's work to be done, we'll toss you into the mix. Looking forward to seeing team SHAKE N BAKE...

Sammy, there's an outside chance that AJ and the boys won't have my Challenger ready for the trip down to Beeville. Ghost in the machine somewhere they're having a bitch finding. That's why I've been acting a touch nervous around here lately.

U.F.O.

Hang in there, Jim. These big changes are rarely without an issue or two...it happens. In the unlikely scenario your ride's not ready, rent a car and take in the drive. Libations waiting...

As for rolling off the trailer with a new build and romping it....yeah. Been there and looks like I'll be doing it again too. Screw 'em if they can't take a joke

Jim, this probably goes without saying, but definitely pack your laptop and Predator/Trinity or whatever interface device you have. Mike and I both have Verizon, which allows tethering, so we can get you internet access anywhere there's a cell signal.

That and A.J.'s cell phone number, we should be good to go.

Someone mentioned tools.... Don't load your cars down with tools I will bring most everything we will need. I have a 135 PSI air compressor in the RV with 25' of hose and air chucks. I will bring a 1/2" air ratchet and a full set of sockets (ASE/Metric - short/deep). I have a tool bag with most hand tools already on board the RV. I will bring HD 25' ext cord. The RV has a 7k Onan generator and that should provide enough power to drive most everything. I will also bring a my Ryobi 18v impact and drill for small stuff. If we need anything else let me know so I can get it on board.

1/2" Torque wrench.
Stock TB.
Spare O2 sensors

I will have 4 chairs for those that what to sit under the 20' awning with hanging screen for some shade. If you get to warm just go in the RV and cool off (2 15K A/C units). The fridge will have soft drinks, water and sandwich makens. Snacks will be in the pantry, help yourself.

Folding table just in case we need to take Sam's car apart.
Spare Ice Chest.

I will also bring a spare Predator just in case someone needs a tune. I will have my laptop with and the necessary cables for accessing either a Predator or Trinity. The laptop is loaded with the latest Diablo software (DS Downloader/Data Viewer)

Dale, you rock man!

Can you also load up a surgical suite complete with an anesthesia machine? Then we'll be ready for any contingency.

Barring that, how about an espresso maker? Snowcone machine?

Some rooms are starting to open up at the Holiday Inn Express in Beeville if anyone wants to change from Georges West back to Beeville. They HAVE NOT been calling the people on the waiting list. You gotta call them. They dropped the ball folks, but don't get mad at them. Plenty of rooms should open up between now and the Mile.
